The captain had asked Lt Ashara Mavix to his ready room to discuss the proposal of transferring tactical duties from the RTF department to the security department.

He had not yet met Lt Ashara Mavix, only seen her from afar. From what he had discerned from her file, Ashara was a young Trill officer, though joined with a much older symbiote, Mavix, just before entering Starfleet Academy. After graduating, she was quickly fast-tracked to a chief of security position on board the Leviathan with a lieutenant’s commission. He was curious to meet her.

Ash stood outside the CO’s ready room for about three seconds before clicking the chime. She hadn’t had much chance to read up on the new Captain’s file just yet - so it was safe to say that she was keen to drill her new boss about everything to do with his career in Starfleet.

The young Security Officer chuckled to herself, Ash, you’re meetin’ the guy, this ain’t an interrogation!

The doors opened and Shock stood up to receive Ashara Mavix.

“Good afternoon, lieutenant Ashara Mavix,” he said, raising his hand in a Vulcan salute. “It is agreeable to meet you. I am Shock, the commanding officer on board this ship.”

Ash returned the salute and smiled, “It’s… ah… agreeable to meet you too sir,” she said, chiding herself at being slightly unprepared; she glanced at the seat opposite the CO, “May Ah?”
