This was the appointment Bethany was dreading. Her recent medical history was highly classified. Even more classified than the last mission on the Azimov. The medical personnel at the starbase had been cruel and treated her like some kind of dangerous virus that they couldn’t help tinkering with. She was not looking forward to this. At least Aasrel was there. She trusted him. He knew it all and would never treat her like a specimen. He was also going to be there for this appointment, so that eased some of the tension she felt. “Do I have to do this? You know I’m healthy.”Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
“I do, but I’m not a doctor on this ship, Bethany. And besides, I’m not sure how much they trust my judgement after my little chat with the XO.” He said. He took her hand and squeezed it. “It’ll be okay. That’s why I’m here, remember?”

Bethany snorted. “A post traumatic response to a sudden trigger is normal. It is a protection mechanism of the psyche. That has nothing to do with being trustworthy. Anyone who says otherwise needs their psychiatric license revoked.” Bethany was a trained counselor on top of everything else. She just didn’t practice in the most normal sense of the term.
Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
“Well, he didn’t say that,” Aasrel said, quick to defend Nyman. “But… Word gets around Bethany. What will other people think?” He shook his head and shrugged. “Let’s focus on your appointment.”
~ Izei, AMO
“That you suffered greatly at the hands of the Borg. You panicked, you didn’t attack her. You didn’t do anything wrong.” She leaned back against the lift wall and stared at her finger nails. “If anyone does think anything negative, I’ll deal with it.”
Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
Aasrel tugged her hand, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her. “I hope that’s dealing with it… peacefully.”
~ Izei, AMO
Bethany smiled against his lips. Her shoulder giving a little shrug. “That all depends on them.” She kissed him thoroughly and then stepped back before the doors opened. She still didn’t want to do this.
Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
Aasrel stepped off the lift with her. “Come on, it’s this way.” He said as they headed down the hall. “It’ll be fine. You’ll see.”
~ Izei, AMO
Bethany groaned and rolled her eyes, “Fiiiiiiiine.” Shw stepped off thenlift and followed him toward the medical bay. Stepping inside she looked around and stopped a nurse. “Lt. Gadi, reporting for my physical.”
Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
“Welcome aboard, ma’am,” the nurse, a Bajoran man, replied. “If you’ll follow me over to a biobed, I can get you started and alert Dr. Maxwell.”
Lieutenant Bradley Maxwell
Chief Medical Officer“Thank you,” Gadi said as she followed him over and took a seat on the biobed. Her eyes scanned the whole area, taking note of the other entrances, rooms, equipment, people.
Aasrel walked with Bethany over to the biobed. He pulled a seat over and sat down next to her. “I’ll be right here.”
~ Izei, AMO
“I know.” Bethany gave him a smile. She never used to mind sickbay or doctors. The last year had changed that perspective.
Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
The nurse took a few preliminary scans, then walked off to the other room. A minute later, a slim human man appeared out of the office, posture that of someone exhausted but cheerful. “Welcome aboard!” he greeted from halfway across the room. “Brad Maxwell, CMO. Crewman Lasen told me you’d just arrived.”
The tactical officer sat up a little straighter. “Lt. Gadi, Doctor. Yes, we arrived just a few hours ago.” The brief scans the nurse took, showed Gadi was in excellent health. Unnaturally excellent health. Her medical record showed various injuries and illnesses consistent with her dangerous line or work, but she showed no signs of any of it, nor of the autoimmune disorder she suffered from in the last year. Details of her last year of medical history were almost non existent. Diagnosis, but no treatment, causes, or details of any kind.
Lt. Gadi, CTO/RTF
He turned to Aasrel. “You’re in blues - are you my new assistant? I hadn’t gotten a chance to more than glance at the file.”
Lieutenant Bradley Maxwell
Chief Medical OfficerBump
“Yes, sir - Lieutenant Izei.” Aasrel said. His preliminary scans were normal, he was healthy. Normally healthy, not weird healthy like Bethany.

(OOC: ooops sorry!!!)
“Did you transfer in together from your last post, or just happen to arrive at the same time?” Brad asked, pulling up Bethany’s file to read a bit more in depth. If they’d been together the last place, maybe his new assistant would know why it was so strangely empty.
