Dorian went to Containment to begin construction on a container for the ring as well as developing protocols for handling. As they didn’t have any hard information yet, he could only start with basics and refine from there as more information was revealed.

Laural entered the containment area, her hoverchair offering a quiet hum as she moved. The counselor didn’t normally spend much time here concerning herself with matters beyond the psychological well-being of any sentient beings herein, but given her particularly vulnerable physical condition, it just made common sense to check in with the engineering staff periodically to be aware of any new protocols or potential vulnerabilities.

“Chief Kelmain?” Laural offered in her customary lilt. “Do you have a moment?”

Dorian’s frame didn’t move.

“Of course Counselor Witley, what can I do for you?”

She could see many fine metal tendrils had extended from the gaps in his armor and interfaced directly with the console. They undulated gently as if being moved by a soft underwater current.
