Marcus stepped into the armory, he had not had a chance to get his weapons put back together since he came aboard. He signed the TR-116 out and placed the case on the closest work bench. The chief of security received a message alert;

Weapon:TR-116
Signed out : 19:00 GST
By : Ensign Marcus Lavent
Reason : Weapon Assembly and Maintenance , weapon will remain in armory, no ammunition fabricated.

Marcus unlocked the case, unfolded a cloth that was in the case and then folded it into a small hand size square and sat it on the bench. Setting the cleaner and lubricant down next to the cloth he smiled looking at his old friend. He had learned to shoot on this rifle, his father had used it during the dominion war the weapon would function within a dampening field and had twice the range of a compression rifle.

Rolling out another cloth he began to set parts down in general spots where it would be assembled.

OOC: I love reading character development posts. Fantastic job. The way you described his careful, almost ritualistic assembly process really shows his deep respect and history with the weapon. It’s a great touch to tie in his father’s legacy from the Dominion War, making the rifle feel like more than just a tool, but a piece of his past. Well done!
