Iphigenia squinted eyes as Wilde made the suggestion. It was risky, but there was no time to debate the merits. If they could stabilize, they might have a chance to assess their situation properly.
“Do it,” she said quickly, “Execute the maneuver, Lieutenant. We need to regain control of this ship.”

Wilde felt the ship drop out of warp. A wave of relief hit. She leaned back in her chair, finally remembering to breathe.

“Captain,” she said, wiping away beads of sweat from her brow, “The ship is stabilized. We’re out of warp.”

Relief came over her as Wilde confirmed they were out of warp. They were stable, for now, but the enormity of their displacement hit her like a physical force. Millions of years into the past, far beyond any known historical record was uncharted territory in every sense.
“First,” Iphigenia began, “we need to gather as much data as possible. Lieutenant Wilde, I want you to continue refining our position and temporal coordinates. We need to know exactly where and when we are. Cadet Toussaint, coordinate with the science team to analyze the surrounding star systems. Compare them to our charts; see if we can identify any recognizable patterns or anomalies that might give us a point of reference.”

She paused, turning to her senior officer. “Commander Magnusson, give a command to engineering to inspect the warp core and engines. We need to ensure they’re fully operational and determine if there’s any risk of further temporal displacement. If we’re going to attempt a return jump, we need to know the ship can handle it.”

Magnus nodded and went to the side to relay the information to Engineering.

Iphigenia glanced at her own console, pulling up damage reports and crew status. “Next, we’ll need to conduct a full systems diagnostic. Medical, environmental, weapons everything. I want to know if there’s any damage we haven’t detected yet.”
She looked up, her gaze moving across the bridge. “Finally, we need to prepare for the possibility that we’re here for a while. That means securing resources. We need to evaluate our supplies, including food, water, and energy reserves. If necessary, we may need to scout the surrounding systems for potential resupply points.”
Her voice softened slightly, but her resolve was clear. “We might be in uncharted territory, but we’re not without options. We’ll have to take this one step at a time, and we’ll find a way to get back home.”
She tapped her console, she keyed into the intercom. =^=All stations, report any anomalies or damage immediately.” All department heads meet me in the ready room in 10 minutes.”=^=

Ship Damage Report: USS Leviathan

Dilithium Storage Drained:
The ship’s dilithium crystals, which power the warp drive, are significantly drained by the encounter with the black hole and the impact of the S.S. Teapot. Unless the crew finds a way to replenish their dilithium reserves, they will be out of power in less than three months Emergency reserves are activated, but they are only a temporary measure.

Warp Core Instability:
The warp core is experiencing severe fluctuations during the temporal distortion. Although it is currently stable, the engineering team would find it is operating at 70% efficiency. A full inspection is needed to prevent potential overloads or failures.

Subspace Anomalies:
Subspace itself is… different. The ship’s sensors detect that they are in an era before subspace, as they know it, has fully formed. This has profound implications for their ability to navigate and communicate. The subspace layers they are familiar with have yet to coalesce, making warp travel unpredictable and dangerous. The warp bubble, which relies on stable subspace, fluctuates, and there is no guarantee it will remain stable over long distances, or even if its safe.

Communications Silence:
The communications channels are completely silent. No Starfleet frequencies, civilian chatter, or even the usual interference from cosmic background noise. All they receive is an eerie white noise that seems to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.

Structural Integrity Field Damage:
Several key nodes overload during the encounter with the black hole, causing microfractures in the ship’s hull. These fractures are currently contained, but further stress on the ship could cause them to widen, risking hull breaches.

Life Support System Strain:
The life support systems are operational but strained. Atmospheric recycling functions at reduced capacity and the ship’s temperature regulation systems fluctuate. Engineering teams are already working on repairs, but it will take time to restore full functionality.

Temporal Distortion Residue:
The ship is coated in what the science team calls “temporal residue,” a byproduct of the tachyon interactions with the black hole. This residue interferes with some of the ship’s more sensitive systems, including long-range sensors and transporters. The residue seems to be decaying slowly, but its presence constantly reminds them of the strange forces they have encountered.
