Marcus moved quickly through the halls and made his way to deck twenty one. He was starving, his day had been so long getting checked in that he had forgotten to eat. His stomach gave a growl in agreement. Stepping in the mess he grabbed a tray wondering what was on the menu for the evening. He really did not know anyone yet that he felt comfortable sitting with but he would cross that bridge when he came too it.Marcus stepped into the line and began to look over what was there while he waited.

SecurityOctavia joined the line just behind a security officer or at least she assumed he was since he had that air of someone fully aware of his surrounded, what he didn’t seem fully aware of was his choice in food. “I recommend the Chilli Con Carne and Rice” she said deciding to take a step out of her comfort zone. She enjoyed the fact Leviathan had a dedicated chef compliment a rarity on some ships but thanks to its size and ship count the benefited in a lot of places.

USS LeviathanBrad slipped into the line behind the two junior officers, having long since become adept at blending in amongst the less senior personnel. He appreciated being able to set aside the mantle of CMO for a while and becoming just another blue-shouldered officer in a sea of uniforms during mealtime, rather than “the boss”. And so, while he agreed with Ens. Raain, he just smiled and silently nodded in assent, figuring that he’d certainly give himself away by speaking.
Lieutenant Bradley Maxwell
Chief Medical OfficerMarcus looked down the buffe line at all the options for the evening, he certainly did not have a preference. Turning slightly to see who was talking to him his eyes shift downward at the rather short ensign. And another Lieutenant standing behind him. Taking a step forward not wanting to hold up the line he respond. “That does look amazing Ensign?” he asked her. He had only met a few people so far on the ship it was nice to have some social interaction again. He felt like he had been in meetings all day long.

Security“If it isn’t then I’ll paint my spots mean pink” she chuckled, “Would you like to sit together?” She asked, noting he didn’t seem to have any company and she was also alone. “You’re welcome to join us too Lieutenant.” She offered.

USS LeviathanHe smiled warmly the thought of having someone to eat with was a relief . “That sounds like a brilliant idea, and i’ll hold you to the pink spots I think” he said with a slight chuckle. “I’m Marcus” he said his voice was deep and filled with confidence.

SecurityBrad nodded, quietly agreeing - still intent on remaining anonymous as long as possible - and following the two ensigns to a table.

-Ensign Marcus Lavent
Security“Brad,” Brad replied, hoping that without his surname, he might just skirt by under the radar. He took a bite, forestalling any immediate questions and giving him a moment to think.

Marcus smiled he had been reviewing personnel files earlier trying to familiarize himself with crew faces and positions. He felt like he should know the man but could not put a finger on why. No mind it would ome to him later in the middle of the night when he was sleeping no doubt. “Nice to meet you Brad” he noted as he scooped up a small portion of the meal. His face twisted as the bite entered his mouth. One would have a hard time identifying if the look was of disgust or absolute bliss as he leaned back into the seat. He looked at the two of them with a pause and then the warm smile of acceptance escaped. “My, this is amazing” he said looking at Ray. “We get to eat like this all the time?” he asked
