In the USS Leviathan’s CIC, the gamma shift crew toils diligently, their faces bathed in the soft glow of the consoles as they monitor the ship’s systems. The hum of machinery fills the air, punctuated by the occasional beeping of alerts and the tap-tap of fingers on keyboards. The atmosphere is calm but tinged with anticipation as if the crew senses something on the horizon.Suddenly, a light on the proximity sensors begins to blink, casting an eerie glow across the dimly lit room. The sound of an audible tone, matching the rhythm of the blinking light, fills the otherwise silent CIC. The crew exchanges cautious glances, their attention shifting to the source of the disturbance until the duty officer taps his comm badge, =^=Captain, this is NE Carmichael. We think you might want to come to bridge our sensors have detected an object on an intercept course.=^=

USS LeviathanIphigenia’s eyes narrowed as she heard the message. “On my way, Carmichael,” she replied.
As she strode through the corridors and entered the turbolift, her mind raced with possibilities, whatever it was, she couldn’t afford to underestimate any potential threat.
Arriving in the CIC, Iphigenia took in the controlled urgency of her crew. “Report,” she commanded, her gaze sweeping over the array of screens and displays.Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)“The object has suddenly appeared within our sensor range, its configuration remains unknown, though there are indications it could be of Starfleet design. It’s currently on an intercept course, moving at one-quarter impulse, and will reach us in ten minutes. Despite our hails, there has been no response, and any attempt to alter our course is mirrored by the object. Captain, will you assume command?” Carmichael asked, poised to be relieved of duty.

USS LeviathanIphigenia nodded, her mind already formulating a plan. “Maintain our course and speed,” she instructed, her voice steady despite the tension in the room. “Prepare to initiate evasive maneuvers if necessary. I want constant updates on the object’s trajectory and any changes in its behavior.”
She glanced at the screens, analyzing the data as it scrolled past. The unknown object remained a mystery, but Iphigenia refused to let fear cloud her judgment. She had faced countless challenges in her career, and she wasn’t about to falter now.
“Open a channel to the object,” she ordered, her tone firm. “Let’s try one more time to establish communication.”
Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)Jhene obeyed Iphigenia’s command. She adjusted the frequency settings and initiated the transmission. “Channel open, Captain,” Jhene announced, her voice steady as she awaited a response from the mysterious object.

(Communications Officer)Iphigenia paced the bridge, her thoughts racing. She needed more information, something to give her an edge in this situation. But for now, all she could do was wait and watch, ready to act at a moment’s notice.
Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)“There’s still no response and the vessel is entering visual range.” The officer’s brow furrowed in concern as they toggled through various communication frequencies, hoping for any sign of life from the silent vessel. Their mind raced with worry, wondering what could be causing the lack of response. Were the crew injured, or worse, incapacitated?
“Project a visual of the vessel on screen,” Iphigenia said. “Let’s get a closer look. Are you detecting anything from the ship? Any life signs?”
“Wait, I’m detecting a sudden energy buildup on the ship. It could indicate weapons charging.” The officer’s heart skipped a beat as their eyes widened in alarm. Fear crept into their thoughts as they considered the implications of an armed confrontation. They knew they had to act swiftly to protect their own vessel and crew.
Iphigenia frowned, “Activate shields,” she commanded firmly. “We can’t take any chances if they’re planning an attack. Be ready to initiate countermeasures and execute evasive maneuvers.”
“There’s something else. It seems like something is piggybacking on the hailing frequency and attempting to infiltrate our systems. It’s some sort of code.” A sense of urgency pulsed through the officer’s veins as they worked frantically to analyze the foreign code. They felt a mixture of frustration and determination, knowing that the safety of their ship depended on their ability to thwart this cyber threat.

USS LeviathanIphigenia nodded, her mind already formulating a plan. She couldn’t afford to let panic take hold of the situation. “Keep those shields up. They won’t have an easy time if they are indeed trying to infiltrate our system.” She looked over at Cadet Webb who was working the engineering station. “Am I right, Webb?” she asked
Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)Webb spun around in his chair to face her. That is correct, Captain, however…” he paused for a moment, his eyes shifting to the side, “It is not impossible. It depends on the technology they are using. The Levi doesn’t have the most up-to-date software there is.”
Cadet Webb
(Engineer)Iphigenia nodded, acknowledging his honest response. She looked at Jhene and said, “Open the channel so I can transmit a message to them.”
Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)Jhene nodded, tapped a few buttons on her console then said, “You are on, Captain.”
Lieutenant Junior Grade Ynuchausti
(Communications Officer)“Unknown Vessel, this is Captain Iphigenia Henao, Commanding Officer of the USS Leviathan, representing Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets. You are approaching our ship without prior communication or identification and attempting a cyber intrusion into our systems. We demand that you cease this activity, immediately identify yourselves, and state your intentions. Failure to comply will be interpreted as a hostile act, and we will take necessary measures to defend our ship and crew.” Anxiety was building up in her as she waited to see if the vessel would respond to her message.
Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)As the tension mounted in the CIC of the USS Leviathan, a low hum filled the air, gradually building in intensity.
The energy weapon of the unknown vessel shimmered with ominous energy, its glow casting eerie shadows across the CIC. With each passing second, the anticipation grew thicker, a tangible weight pressing down on everyone present.
Then, without warning, the hum reached a deafening crescendo, drowning out all other sound. The air crackled with energy as the weapon discharged, unleashing a blinding flash of light that enveloped the Leviathan.
For thirty interminable seconds, the ship was plunged into darkness, its systems offline and sensors silent. Panic threatened to take hold, but the crew remained steadfast, clinging to their training and resolve.
And then, as suddenly as it had begun, the darkness lifted, and the lights and sensors flickered back to life. But as the crew took stock of their surroundings, they realized that the unknown vessel had disappeared without a trace, leaving behind only confusion and uncertainty in its wake.

USS LeviathanIphigenia braced herself as the blinding flash enveloped the Leviathan, expecting some type of impact to follow. The seconds stretched on, each one feeling like an eternity, but to her surprise, there was no collision, no explosion.
As the darkness lifted and the lights flickered back to life, Iphigenia couldn’t help but feel a mixture of relief and bewilderment. The unknown vessel had vanished without leaving a trace, leaving behind a sense of disorientation in its wake.”What just happened?” She asked looking around at each of her officers. They all seemed well.
“Status report,” she called out, her voice cutting through the lingering silence. The crew scrambled to their stations, checking systems and assessing the damage.Captain Henao
(Commanding Officer)Cadet Webb checked the systems, trying to determine if there was damage. He couldn’t tell, it all seemed normal but something must have happened. “Checking now, Captain,” he said as he reviewed the ship logs.
Cadet Webb
(Engineer)The Cadets check would indicate that the unknown vessel had used the opportunity to get within transporter distance, three transporter signatures were detected one in Main engineering, one in Sick Bay and one in Corridor 26-A Security Deck. It would also show several firefights in Engineering and around the Main Security offices. The unknown vessel however was gone and the leviathan appears to be in working order.
Before the cadet would have a chance to convey any of the information the red alert claxon started to sound and the ship dimmed into a red hue. =^=RED ALERT, Weapons fire detected on deck 18, and deck 29 Security personnel are to report to these areas.=^=

USS LeviathanCadet Webb’s fingers tapped endlessly on the console, relaying the grim news. “Captain, we’ve been infiltrated. Transporter signatures detected in Main Engineering, Sick Bay, and Corridor 26-A Security Deck. There appeared to have been some firefights in Engineering and around Main Security offices.”

(Engineer)=/\= “Maxwell to Loughty. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but a transporter beam just took Hazel out of sickbay, I don’t know where. I’m on my way down.” =/\=
Atos was stationed on the bridge when all hell broke loose and the Doc’s message activated his control panel, =/\= “Lieutenant Maxwell, The XO is currently off the ship. Did you just say that Miss Loughty was beamed off the ship?” =/\= “Captain, I am just verifying the message but Lieutenant Maxwell has just reported that Miss Loughty has just been transported off the ship.

=/\= “That’s correct,” Brad reported. “Or at least out of sickbay.” =/\=
A few moments later, the CMO came running through the door. “I have my people scanning to see if they can find any more information.”
