Date - December 15:

When Iphigenia returned to her quarters in the evening she immediately sensed that something was different. As she cautiously and keenly walked around her room, she looked and mentally noted where items were to determine if something had been moved. When she finally entered her bedroom, she narrowed her eyes as she noticed a strange little item sitting on her bed against the pillow. She placed her hand on her hip and stared at it for a moment before walking over and picking it up. She frowned as she observed the item looking at it from every angle. Then she noticed a tiny knife and also that her pillow, sheets, and bedspread had been cut! Shredded to pieces, seemingly done with the little pocket knife.

A few minutes later she stepped off the turbo lift into the CIC, holding up a little stuffed elf, with a solid plastic head, and a wayward smile plastered on its face in one hand and the little knife in the other, and announced loudly, “Alright, who placed this little toy doll in my quarters and more importantly who cut up my pillow and bed sheets with this little knife?”

Henao, CO

Everyone looked at the CO. They were confused. First of all, how would anyone get into her quarters? And who would be foolish enough to play a joke like that on her? There were a few shrugs and some mumbles of denial as everyone looked around to see if anyone would own up to the prank. One NE finally spoke up. “I have never seen that doll before.... sir”. Another one squinted her eyes and then said, “It looks like one of those ancient toys that 21-century parents used to prank their children with.” She shook her head, “Cruel if you ask me. I would never do anything like that to anyone, let alone my own children. They were so strange in that era.”
Iphigenia took one last look at the doll and placed it on a nearby console. “Well, yall can have it. I do not care for the thing.” She held up the tiny knife, “Now this is adorable. I think I will keep it.” Then she left the bridge.

The little elf doll went unnoticed for the remainder of the evening. Later, it would somehow appear in the science labs on deck four, even still, no one paid much attention to it as they went on about their routine tasks. Much later, when the labs were empty, a local alert would come from one of the science labs.
Security hurried to the location, however, when they arrived, they would find only a few broken containers on the floor and the mysterious elf doll sitting on a workstation directly above where the mess, both of his tiny stuffed hands placed on both sides of him, and seemingly looking down at it. Luckily the contents of the container were not extremely dangerous just flammable at best if mixed with the right substances.

MJ..Narrator of this story

Lieutenant j.g. Kitiuas Thenis was in a deep sleep when she received an alert =^=Security and CSO Thenis to science lab three, chemistry lab. Security and CSO Thenis to science lab three, chemistry lab.=^= Kit groaned and replied =^=Computer acknowledge, now please for the Thousand Gods shut up.=^= she replied as she rolled out of bed and scrounged about for a uniform. Five minutes later Lieutenant j.g. Thenis appeared atscience lab three, chemistry; slightly disheveled. She looked at the two security guards and inquired of NE Austin “Okay what the hell is so damn important that I was awakened and summoned to the lab?” NE Austin replied “An alert was sounded Sir, we responded but found the lab empty and only these containers on the floor, broken.” Kit took a nearby science tricorder off one of the charging stations and did a quick scan of the chemicals on the floor, noting that they were combustible if mixed with certain other chemicals, but thankfully none of those currently on the floor. As she finished her scan she looked up and noticed a little elf doll at a workstation just above the broken containers; looking down at the mess. “Okay, run standard protocols for intruder alerts, I’ll handle cleaning up this mess. Also where did this doll come from?” she stated to the security team.

-Lieutenant j.g. Kitiuas Tenis, CSO

NE Austin shrugged, “I am not sure. It was here when we arrived.” As he went to retrieve the doll he carefully stepped around the mess. He held up the doll, smiled, and then said, “It looks like a little Vulcan with a pointy cone hat. He tossed the doll to the other security NE, who happened to be Vulcan. The Vulcan security officer frowned, appearing annoyed and long-faced as he stared at NE Austin, holding the doll in one hand before he tucked it in his utility belt.
NE Austin snickered then said to Lieutenant Tenis, “We scanned for intruders and there hasn’t been any activity in the lab since 2200 hours.” He paused then said, “However during playback of the events in the lab, it looks like there was a minor glitch just before the containers ended up on the floor. Nothing significant though. It was only like a 30-second delay. I am sure your science staff did not properly store the containers at the end of their shift”, he said, accusatory to the CSO. “I am no scientist but I am guessing the contents are not dangerous otherwise, our situation could be a lot different.”

NE Austin

Thenis smiled sweetly, she knew she had a reputation amongst the security folks. “Well then, I will most certainly discuss the proper way to put away volatile chemicals. I’ll also review who was on duty just prior to that time period, as well as have one of my team review the playback of things in the lab just before, during and after the incident.” she replied. “I thank you gentleman for your quick response.” With that Kit picked up a PaDD and called up the log of those on shift prior to the incident, and who was the best computer expert.

-Lieutenant j.g. Kitiuas Thenis, CSO

Now, this was the last time the elf was seen…. until a couple of days later.
One morning when the XO awakened in her quarters, she would discover that her quarters had been vandalized with bright green markings and graffiti all over her walls! More alarming was that the words trayter and speye were among some of the markings. Although strangely misspelled, anyone could understand the implication of the words. It was obvious the culprit was referring to her association with the Romulan Star Empire, and the person also knew that this was a highly sensitive topic.

If Jaieh were to leave her quarters, she would find an intentional trail of the same green ink leading from her quarters and all the way to the CIO’s quarters.
Inside the CIO quarters, the little elf would be sitting on his workstation holding a green marker.

That same day, later on, the console and view screens on the Leviathan would flash, glitch, and then project the Starfleet profile pictures of the ship’s Counselor, Dr. Witley, and the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Álvaro-Byrd. If their photos suddenly appearing on all the screens on the ship were not strange enough, the words underneath their photos each time they appeared, “Have You Seen Me” made this event even odder.
The crew didn’t know what to make of it. The Counselor and the CMO had been seen around the ship throughout the day, and both appeared to be well and very busy. However, these images continue to rotate throughout the view and console screens on the ship, bouncing from one to another with no end. Everyone assumed it was a glitch in the ship’s systems and a request was made to engineering to place the ship in diagnostic mode and then investigate the issue.

MJ, The Narrator

=^= Yeah, yeah. Same here in the Engineering station.=^= NE Meylan responded to the comm badge. =^= Will send Ensign Little to take a look. =^= Then he pushed the emblem again. =^= This is Meylan to Ensign Little, please report to Main Engineering C. And your class 9 gears. =^=

NEng Meylan, Master Chief

=^= This is Li…ttle. Acknowledged. =^= Tom was having a drink at deck 21. As he was about to pick up what he shall eat, a duty call rang, and it was from the senior citizen/chief of the master. The signal’s glitch was unexpected. Normally class 9 equipment was stored and locked in the Main Engineering. It was a rule-of-thumb practice for engineers to store some of their gear in a place easily accessible. Tom rushed to his quarters and picked up his shoulder bag, stuffed with a tricorder, PADD, antiflash gear, and others. But what frowned him the most was, “Where is my green marker?” This non-technical tool was crucial, especially for engineers when all the lights were offline. For instance, the color gave a mental calm and a refocus on the task at hand at that moment. Its ink was designed to absorb light and illuminate it temporarily. This time, he had to go without this item and hurry up to the Station.

Ens Little, Eng

“Gisjacheh, I am going to chuulak whoever is screwing with the damn computer system and my work console.” Kit swore as she attempted to clear her workstation screen of the images of Counselor Doctor Witley and Chief Medical Officer Doctor Álvaro-Byrd. She hit her combadge =^=Engineering, this is Chief Science Officer Thenis, my science console and computer still have that damn glitch. Can you please have someone check the science consoles again.=^= With that task done she sat back a second then made a decision =^=Attention all science personnel, please suspend all science experiments at this time and run a Level 1 diagnostic of all science stations and systems.=^= She hated having to place the entire science division on level 1 diagnostic, but she needed to know how bad the science department systems were affected by the glitches in the system.

-Lieutenant j.g. Kitiuas Thenis, CSO

Kitiuas was in her quarters, all she had on was a pair of panties and a very long T-Shirt with a Led Zeppelin Mothership cover album cover design on it. She was behind her drum set and was absently tapping out a Led Zeppelin song on the drums. She was in deep thought. She was troubled by the recent vandalism on the ship and the odd ‘glitches’. She was beginning to wonder if perhaps one of the confined creatures had made its way out of a confinement cell. The Level 1 diagnostic of all the science stations and systems had come back with all systems in perfect working order. The science department was now at least a half day if not longer with scheduled experiments, which would cause a headache for her as she unsnarled the resource allocation request for those experiments. She stopped her drumming, =^=Computer please correlate all instances of vandalism and glitches recently on the ship and provide common denominators in all cases.=^= She shrugged and went back to drumming another song as she awaited the data she requested.

-Lieutenant j.g. Kitiuas Thenis, CSO

The computer processed the scenes, did numerous calculations, and analyzed the different components of each event, finally, it provided an answer, =^=Based on the analysis of the various incidents of vandalism and malfunctions, 5,069 different components related to the location of each scenario were considered....=^=There is No Logical Correlation between the Incidents.”=^=*

When Tom arrived at his location and began working on the computer glitch, he would find that he could resolve the issue easily. However, upon further inspection, he discovered someone had placed trojan malware into the ship’s computer system which was the root cause of the glitch. If he were to go through the code and inspect it, it would reveal someone had clicked on an icon shaped like a present that had the words, “CLICK HERE IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB”. After careful inspection, he was able to trace the icon click to a PaDD assigned to…..Ensign Jackson Pryce.
