Ashara Mavix was trying way too hard to smile behind the nerves she felt as the transporter beam settled around her. It had been a few weeks since Ash first got the news about her transference from Starbase 446 to a starship. Coming back into the room from her thoughts, she smiled at the officer manning the transporter controls, “Howdy, I’m Ashara, your new Security Chief. Will I find the Captain and XO on the Bridge?”
The human grinned, “Either that or their offices, Deck 1.”
“Much obliged,” Ashara replied, before giving a friendly two-fingured salute. Within minutes, pack in hand, she was in a turbolift on her way to the Bridge. The journey went a lot quicker than she’d have liked and she found herself standing in the turbolift doorway taking in her surroundings…

When the man entered the Turbolift, he said “ Containment” the computer open a hand scanner and he put his hand on it and said “M-01-D-09-Y-87. The computer beeped in approval. The man looked at the new COS and said “Have you passed the ARU training yet” he asked

Iphigenia was in the Conference Lounge on deck one and had been expecting as well as anticipating the arrival of the new Chief Security Officer who was to also take on an additional role as the Recover Task Force (RTF) Commander. As the turbolift opened, she looked toward it and was surprised to see Lieutenant Hellsing standing there with the CoS. She stood straight up and placed both hands behind her back as she presented a welcoming smile, then said to Ashara, “I see you have met Lieutenant Hellsing.” She approached both of them, “Mr. Hellsing, is the Chief Engineer and Containment Architect on the ship. This reminds me I have a minor adjustment in how your duties are to be handled as the Containment Architect, Lieutenant Hellsing. Since the role overlaps with security and ultimately concerns the safety of everyone on this ship, I would like for you to get Lieutenant Mavix up to speed on the containment facility, your containment designs, and protocols. After she has been acclimated to all this, I want you, going forward, to clear any new ones or a change in protocols with her.” She paused, “So essentially as the ship’s Chief Engineer you are in charge of the Engineering Department, however as the Containment Architect and when you perform these duties, you will be reporting to Lieutenant Mavix, who is also our new Recover Task Force Commander.” Iphi proudly held her hand out toward the woman.

“Forgive me Captain,” Ashara said, taking her hand in the handshake, “But I haven’t been briefed yet on the nature of the Recovery Taskforce,” then turning to Hellsing added, “Also, what is ARU training?”
