After 50 days of wondering the universe, I was finally on board a ship called Leviathan. After Viking docked at the Starbase 187, every crew had to do a medical check. My old wound somehow contributed to a longer exams but fortunately, no KIAs after the motes incident. But I shall never see that ship again.
“Energize.”
Starbase 237 was within the transporter range. Tom was, as usual, carrying a sea bag on his shoulder and a shoulder bag inside that with necessary tools. Except for this uniform. He thought. Some crews probably thought switching from blue to yellow was a kind of degrading. However, the old generation of space travels required different talents in different fields, different assignments, and different tours.

What? He thought.
=c2= Deck 18. =c2= A squared away, amphibious-looking crew stepped in. “You must be new to the ship?”
“Yes?” Tom replied.
“Get yourself registered first. Or turbo won’t respond. This is a unique ship. Welcome aboard.”
Tom thanked the man and went to the CE’s office. He hit the chime and said, “Good morning, Ensign Tom Little reporting.”
