After having heard her excited story from her daughter about her new boss luna decided she needed to meet this newcomer. So after her shift had ended she headed to his office. She took a beep breath and rang the chim hoping he was in his office.

Ensign Luna

“Come in,” Jahok’s voice rang loud and clear from behind the closed doors of his office. The commander sat behind his desk, working on his many reports and paperwork. The RTF commander’s office was practically barren. All of the previous commander’s furniture and personal belongings were removed and nothing were put back in place. There were empty art displays around the room and along the walls, which made the room feel far colder and impersonal . Jahok had not bothered to repopulate the office with chairs or decorations at this moment. Perhaps once he felt suitably caught up with his work, and prepared for their next mission he will bring in a decorator. Until then, there was only his desk, the desk console, his chair and a second chair pulled from somewhere. “Have a seat, would you care for refreshment? There is a replicator in this office.”

Luna looked around not at all surprised by the bareness of the office. ” hi I’m Ensign Luna. It’s nice to meet you, sir. My daughter was quite excited about you” she said taking a seat. She watched the man carefully for a few moments. his question about refreshments caught her by surprise. ” No thank you, that’s very kind and I do aprisheate the offer though” she said. She wanted him to be ready to talk. she could see he was bussy with paperwork and she had plenty of time.

Jahok noted Luna’s wings and recalled the small winged child he had encountered during his medical check-up. “You must be proud to have an intelligent and polite daughter.” With a small smile he also recalled that said daughter claimed she could take him in one on one combat. “You have good timing. I was about to schedule a meeting with you. It is my intention to meet with all my security and RTF officers.” He set aside a PaDD and grabbed another which he used to bring up Luna’s service profile. “Why did you decide to enlist as a security officer?” He asked.

“Im glad she was polite to you she is not always that way. I love her but she can be a handful.” Luna said with a smile. Why does she have to think about his question? ” A security officer saved my life when I was a teenager. I wanted to follow that example. I also don’t want anyone else to suffer the way I did” she said. she was being vague on purpose it was written in her body language this was not a subject she was comfortable with.
Ensing Luna

Children were full of surprises. A fact Jahok knew prior to his sudden fatherhood. “Children often are.” He said before settling in to focus upon Luna. He saw the tension in her body, and though he was curious, he would not pry. “A noble cause. You have a warrior’s heart.” Security officers needed more than skill or training. A good security officer needs a standard to live up to in order to achieve their full potential. “I am a demanding Chief of Security,” He told her, “I expect all my security and RTF officers to uphold the standards and ideals of Starfleet. I expect you to use your head before your weapon, to always strive to improve and learn more today than you knew yesterday.

“My door will always be open. I do not want my officers to be scared to speak to me or to dread entering my office. I promise to do my best to be fair and even-handed. Is there anything I need to know about you and your history?” This was Luna’s chance to inform him of any personal or background details that he should be aware of.
