“Thankyou” He said with another smile, “I wouldn’t mind a glass mango juice if that’s not to much hassle.” The Trill XO found the standard issue sofa and sat down on it observing both Luna and cerenity as she played. She looked happy, which he supposed was a good thing. “How are you doing Luna?”

• Ryder Raauhl, XO

” of couese” she said and headed to the replicator to get Raauhl some mango Juice. As she returned Luner flew from his porch and landed on the arm of the couch near Ryder. Luna froze for a moment. As the bird started at Ryder shook himself then returned to his porch. ” Well that was ” she took a deep breath and Handed Raauhl his drink.

” I’m alright, I still feel like an outsider but that’s nothing new,” she said. She watched him for a moment before taking a set and looking to Cerenity. “I’ve been an outsider since I joined star fleet.” She said.

Ensign Luna

Raauhl felt deflated at hearing how she felt, “I wish that wasn’t the case, I don’t like the idea that one of our officers are feeling isolated.” The Trill officer considered Luna for a moment. “What makes you feel like an outsider? I’m sure I can speak for everyone in the command group that you’re far from an outsider and a respected member of the crew, valued even.”

She looked at him. “People look at me and see something fragile that cant protect them. She stared at the ground. ” Hollow bones don’t make me fragile. It’s a problem iv had to deal with since I joined star fleet. I’m Just got tired of dealing with it and proving people wrong ” she said quietly.

Ensign Luna

“Well hear me out, maybe stop going out of your way to prove people wrong instead just do things the way you want to do them and an opportunity will come up where proving them wrong will come naturally. You shouldn’t have to go out of your way to prove to people what or who you are and you’re clearly not that fragile else you wouldn’t be serving on the best ship in the fleet.” Ryder suggested, “Besides the only people that you have to prove anything to is me and Captain Cobb and we both see nothing but a dedicated officer and a fantastic mother.”

Luna smiled and shook her head ” It’s not that simple. Life rarely is. Commander as a security officer the crew need to trust that I can protect them and after the last incident with that shadow anomaly” luna said shaking here head. The after math of that encounter had left her flightless for weeks.” Would trust me to protect you?” She asked raising an eyebrow.

Raauhl was taken a back by the comment and he met her own eye brow raining with his own. “Luna, by you being aboard this ship myself and Captain Cobb have already answered that question. We take on only the very best of the ARU even if they do come with some extra baggage because we know that’s what being a crew is about, accepting everyone for their flaws and cultivating their strengths. But if you need to hear it from the horses mouth then yes, i would most certainly trust you with my life.”

” Thank you Commander that Means a lot” Luna said with a smile.

Cerenity trembled at the mention of her Shadow monster. She huged her stuffed animal close to her. ” Is Gen ok after that thing attacked us” she asked.

Ensign Luna

“She has been doing better as the days go by, it was a bit of a shock to the system but Gen is a warrior she moves on as sure as the breeze but I am worried since Casela left, no communication no nothing. I’m fearing the worst and I dont know how to tell Gen that Casela may never be coming back. I’ve accepted it, she made her choice but im not sure if Gen will understand.” He shrugged, there was a slight hint of anger in his tone.

Luna put a hand on his shoulder. “I understand how that feels. Is there anything i can do to help you” She asked gently. “Maby Casela will come back. My daddy is still out there I know hill come bank even if mommy is convinced he is dead” she said. Luna shook her frustration crossing her face. “Let me get Her to bed and we can Talk about it ok” She said. Cerenity groaned at the announcement of bedtime. luna gave her the no nonsense look. Cerenity reluctantly got up and followed Luna to her room. She posed for a moment “Goodnight Mr. Raauhl” she called. After a few moments luna returned.

Having said goodnight to Cerenity Raauhl was left alone for a short while, thinking about Luna’s words on how Casela might return unfortunately he carried the burden that she was not ever coming back but that was his weight to carry and certainly nobody elses.

“Casela absence will be hard on both of you. How are you feeling about it?” Luna asked knowing that it would be difficult for him to explain or help Gen with such a hard event while he was still processing it. “I been through this Twice with Loki, I know I’m not a consumer but maby i can help” she offered gently.
Ensign Luna

He smiled lightly at her grateful for the offer Luna probably didn’t know it but she truly was becoming more than just a crew member on the ship, and despite what she thought people did look to her for guidance “If I am to be honest with myself Angry, betrayed but mostly disappointed. She always said her past was behind her but when it came calling she didn’t even hesitate.” Raauhl offered as a response. “It’s already been weeks, maybe months now since I last spoke to her.” He added, everyone though Casela had left after leave it was in fact before that.

Luna lisioned quietly to him as he spoke. With out a word she pulled him into a hug Fealing he need on. She even opened her wings and curled them around him. ” I know it’s hard, Those of us who have had dealings with section 31 the past is never behind us. It’s ok to feal pain and cry I will not judge you” she said gently. Befor letting him go and folding her wings closed again.

” she may have wanted to think her past was behind her but she like me was one of their Exsperiments. The past will never be behind us. Odd are she left of her own free will to protect you and Gen” luna speculated.
Ensign Luna

Raauhl was at first taken a back by the sudden hug, even more so when she enhanced it by surrounding her with her wings. It had left him somewhat silent before he finally spoke, “Thankyou Luna” He managed, “It is getting late, and Gen will be needing to be put to sleep also.” Raauhl Stood and smiled to the woman infront of him, “Thankyou again for everything” He almost said the hug, he still wasn’t sure how he felt about it.

” yes it is getting late” she said standing as well. ” Your welcome sir. I know the hug was a little out of regulation I thought you may have needed it though. If you need to wright me up or what ever I understand Sir” she said.
