Mwezi sat in the Lounge with a cup of Galdori Hot Chocolate, enjoying the warmth and the flavor. It made him a little sleepy, and his tail was slowly wagging.

• Mwezi

Cerenity had entered the lounge some time later. She had aa date pad in hand studding a medical text book. the four year old headed to one of the replicated to order a hot chocolate then looked for a seat.
Cerenity

Mwezi noticed the young child and watched her for a moment, surprised such a young creature was handling something as sophisticated as a medical text book.

Mwezi

Cerenity flight sight of Mwezi. She turned her head sideways and studied him for a moment. ” Hi iv never seen you before” she said.
Cerenity.

“That makes sense, since I’ve never seen you before,” Mwezi put down his drink and gestured to the table. “You can sit here, if you want,” he offered to the youngster. “My name is Mwezi.”

• Mwezi

She watched him a moment longer befor joing him seting her data pad and drink down. “Im Cerenity” she said calmly.

“Serenity, a state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled,” Mwezi replied, thoughtful. “It’s nice to meet you. What are you reading?”

• Mwezi

“My mother would disagree. Medical Texts I help them in sickby so its kinda imprtent for me to know this stuff” She said happly and took a sip of her drink. she rolld her sholders and opend her wings streching them for a moment befor folding them closed again.
Cerenity

“You’re a bit young to be reading such things or having such worries,” Mwezi commented, tilting his head. “Shouldn’t you be enjoying your childhood?”

• Mwezi

” but I enjoy it? ” she said confused. She had an intelligents that was way beyond that of a normal for year old. ” Besides there’s only one other child onboard this ship. No to mention how may four year olds do you know that can read and wright” she asked.
Cerenity

Mwezi was quiet for a few moments, considering it. “I do know four year old people who can read and write, but their lifespan is drastically shorter than that of most humanoids. They still take the time to enjoy their childhoods though. As children, not as miniature adults.” He reached over and picked up his drink, taking another sip. He hadn’t expected to be having a philosophy conversation with a four-year old child.

• Mwezi

” I’m a human I know the wings throw everyone off. I do still play games I ran an optical course with mommy and with other security officers, and mommy and I go flying on the holodeck when we she has time to take me” she said looking down. ” Mommy’s really busy all the time” she said quietly.
Cerenity

“An obstacle course isn’t really a game,” Mwezi replied, slightly perturbed. “That’s military training…” He wondered if the girl’s mother really knew how to raise a child if that was the sort of play that was provided. He thought for a moment. “Would you like to experience the sort of games I played as a child, maybe have some fun in the process?” he asked, thinking of some ideas. He’d have to get in contact with Galdor and ask for some environmental programs for the newfangled Holodecks this time period had, possibly even see if they had child holo-programs.

• Mwezi

” what are you talking about the obstacle course was so much fun” she giggled. She did not understand she enjoys the activity she participated in. ” I want to learn how to fight like mommy but she says im to little. You should see her get into a fight no one ever beets her. What games did you play.” she asked. She gave him a strange look. She did not understand his concern. ” Why are you bothered” she asked

Mwezi had to wonder at the question. Why was he bothered? He frowned, furrowing his brow. “It’s not healthy for a child to grow up so fast,” he decided. “You shouldn’t be trying to fight and go through combat training and helping out in Sickbay. One day you’re going to look back at your childhood and regret the fact that you didn’t take time to just be a kid. Lords of Kobol, I had more of a childhood than you but I still wish it hadn’t ended so early.”

He supposed that was part of it. His own childhood had been stuffed full of lessons and training and he had been so intent on growing up so fast so that he could get up into space and explore the universe. He hadn’t thought it at the time, but he’d been so busy trying to be a grown-up he’d not really taken time to be a kid. It hurt to see a kid basically doing the same thing, but even younger.

Cerenity giggled ” But I enjoy doing these thing, What is Lords of Kobol” she asked confused. She found Mwezi very funny. Most of the other adults onboard barely bat an eye at her. Yet this strange man had a problem. ” Adults are funny, what is your Job onboard the ship” she asked.
