Hey Leviathaners,

one year ago today, the USS Leviathan was launched in X-Fleet. That first month saw us make over 1000 posts and catch enough attention in the wider club to be encouraged to make a main fleet charter. One month out from launch, our charter was granted and we moved from X-Fleet into our current home of the Foremost Fleet. Since then we have seen many different players come and go, have survived some incredibly creative ‘anomaly encounters’ and have continued to gather some of the best and most talented writers in the club to join our crew. And to top it all off we won a pile of awards including best ship in the club!

On a personal level, while this has been an incredibly difficult and challenging year for us all, I have found a huge amount of solace, comfort and friendship from being a part of this crew. In those recurring moments when life just overwhelmed me, having such a wonderful, creative and truly enjoyable environment to come and hide out in has been a true blessing. I want to thank each and every one of you for playing a part in this world and for adding your talent and your boundless imaginations to this continually evolving story.

Here’s to the next year, where I hope that we can sail through our final two reviews with the same ease as we handled the first two, and here’s to another year filled with wonderful stories, amazing characters, terrifying anomalies…and maybe even a sighting or two of our good friend, the Pants Spider!

The odds were firmly stacked against us so what an achievement to make it a whole year and didn’t destroy the ship! (MOSTLY) You’ve all be amazing to write with!

Congratulations to you all on achieving this milestone! I am so happy to be joining this amazingly talented crew. The Leviathan is an impressive, and only somewhat intimidating ship. I hope I can live up to the standards that you all have set. I am looking forward to trying.
