Tal knit her eyebrows together in her silent observation. Setting the drink down, she approached the trio.

” ok” Luna said with mock disappointment. Then she grined returning to Logan’s side. ” so if valcans don’t have emotions where did they go. Iv met some valcan children that have emotions” she said.
Ensign Luna

“Listen ensign. I’m one I’d those vulcans that keeps their emotions deep down where they never show. Vulcans does that for a reason so they dont basically dont have to show it. Under these circumstances, as Vulcan, we have this thing called the Khalinar ritual, once we have done that it’ll help up control or suppress our feelings.” Logan explained to the young ensign who doesn’t understand the ritual of the vulcans. As he explained it to the ensign he didn’t feel any remorse or anything ever since he did the Khalinar on Vulcan those feelings of remorse, happiness, etc does really exist in a vulcans life. Unless if something happens when their pon far comes around then that’s when emotion kicks in.

Ensign Logan.

” what did you just openly mention the pon far I that that was a avoid at all costs super privet subject for you. Also isn’t bowling up emotions like that unhealthy” she said clearly confused.
Ensign Luna

“Maybe we should focus on the scenery,” Tal grinned, jabbing her head to the room. “We are moments away from a crime. If we neglect to pay close enough attention, then vital information might just slip through our fingers,” she opened her palm in a ‘poof!’ gesture.

Luna giggled she looked at Logan. ” Well I gess the game of 20 questions is over” Luna said with a smile.

“Wise words, Miss Abara,” Zachariah agreed. “Plus, if you fight then you will miss this incredible scenery.”

” fight who said anything about a fight” Luna said jokingly. Cerenity giggled ” There no point in fighting we all know mommy will kick Mr. Logan’s but” she said happly. Luna’s face turned red ” that’s not necessarily true” Luna protested.

And indeed, were the group to turn their collective gaze starboard, they would glimpse the towering, sandstone walls of Philae Temple reaching out of the morning mist. But almost immediately was their sightseeing interrupted, by the intrusion into their group of a stranger - a woman, elegantly-dressed and with a neatly-coiffured head of golden hair. Spying Cobb, she made a determined approach, helping herself to one of the laid out drinks, before turning on him and gasping, “Why, I do believe you are the famous detective, Zachariah Cobb!”
With a wink to the group, Cobb cleared his throat, curled the tips of his mustache and replied, “Aye Miss, that I am. And you are?”
“Doyle,” a gloved hand was offered out to him, its gold and jewelled accoutrements dazzling in the slowly-rising sun, “Linnet Doyle. My husband, Simon, is dealing with our luggage. We’re on our honeymoon.”
“Ah, then allow me to offer my congratulations,” Cobb raised his glass.
The woman nodded, then turned her gaze on the other members of the party…

Quinn raised a glass at the lady Doyle, she wondered if the Lady would consider her underdressed since she wore not one item of jewelry, her hair was adored with ribbons, not pins and she certainly wasn’t having things surrounding her neck or fingers. She offered a smile to Lady Doyle,
“I hope your honeymoon keeps a bright glow for all the years following for a long and happy marriage.” she hoped it wasn’t too much to say either but if the Lady Doyle took offense she wouldn’t take it personally, there were sillier things than keeping a grudge against a hologram doing what it was supposed to.

Cerenity opened her wings the fethers on the tops standing up. ” back up your to close” she said to the stranger unapply with the stranger intrusion into her space. Granted that was also Cobb’s space but she liked Cobb. She liked spending time with him. Cerenity put her hand up the sunlight bouncing off her gold pressed latinum bracelet.

Luna watched from the distance she was not a fan of the female ether but a reaction like that from Cerenity was rare so Luna wanted to see what would happen next. She studied the situation intentionally. She moved slightly so she was in cobb’s line of sight and tried to signal to him tell him not to say anything to Cerenity let her handle the situation herself.
Ensign Luna

“As of ensign I am a vulcan I have no ego to bruise. I’m only a vulcan I can not lie. I’m the vulcan that doesnt fight unless asked to do so or if instincts tells me too. So with that being said fights with another person doesn’t affect me. Like I said emotions doesnt work on me unless the pon far happens and besides being away from home, telling people about things like that is a good way for others to know. But like our friend here let’s focus on what’s good here.” He then said to the ensign.

Ensign Logan

Quinn shook her head softly, as she picked up her skirts and turned around, as much as she adored games and mysteries. She wanted to enjoy the murder mystery and spending time with Cobb that was not ship’s business, instead she was fighting to keep biting her tongue to tell Ensign Luna that her child is out of control or rude to another, true it a holo-gram but still, the child should have better manners than that, to act rude then ignore others was not something she could abide by. So instead of telling Luna to control her wayward child, she would leave and hope that the next adventure Cobb set up she could enjoy fully. “Sorry Zachariah, I will join in next time you get a murder mystery going. I hope it is a grand adventure.” she paused and added softly for his ears alone, “Maybe you can tell me about it later?”

” No… there’s no need for that I’ll take Cerenity home.” Luna said quietly. She had noted Quinn’s agitation in the women’s body language. She quietly took the toddler by the hand and left. Cerenity waved goodbye to the captain as they left the holodeck.

Logan then stood there and watched it. It was rather unusual for him but he finds it fascinating cause it’s funny but he never really wanted to mention it. “Captain. You ad a human, your feelings, and expression is intriguing and fun. You are enjoying this. I find it fascinating. It is nice and something soothing for a vulcan such as I.” He mentioned to the captain as he looked at him with a nice firm look.

Ensign Logan.

The exit of the two women had been unexpected, Zachariah resolving silently to speak with each of them privately once the game had concluded. But for now, his attention returned to the remaining participants and the curious Linnet Doyle.
“Aye,” he replied to Logan, “I do enjoy games such as this one. It allows us room to think. To ponder. To discuss observations and theories. And of course, to drink and enjoy each others company.”

Slipping gracefully into position between the two men, Linnet Doyle raised her own glass. “To the evening, then. Whatever it may bring,” she announced loudly. But then in a flash her demeanour changed, her eyes falling anxiously to her glass. “I only hope we shall have no more trouble tonight, Simon and I.”
“Trouble,” Cobb asked with a grin, his fingers twirling at his mustache as he spoke. Logan was right - he was enjoying this.
“Yes. From an old friend, who now blames me for ruining her relationship with her fiance. But can I help it if Simon chose me over her?”
With a chuckle, Zachariah glanced at both Logan and Trinity, before turning his attention back to Doyle. “Surely you can forget old love rivals on the night of your honeymoon?”
“Oh, would that not be lovely if I could?” Linnet was now close to tears. “But she has booked her own passage on this very same cruise!”

At that moment, a young man appeared on the deck. Tall and with roguish good looks, he strode over to the group, one hand reaching out and being met by Linnet’s own.
“I see you are making friends already, my dear?” he asked, his own eyes regarding the crew with detached interest.
“Why yes. This is the famous detective, Zachariah Cobb. And these are his associates.”
Simon nodded to each in turn, then turned his full attention to his new bride. “There will be plenty of time for socialising on this cruise. But tonight, my dear, is our honeymoon. And now, it is time for our dinner.”

And with that, Simon led Linnet inside the ship, she pausing to wave at the trio as she left. Once the newlyweds had disappeared, Cobb turned to his companions and, with a wide grin, asked, “Well, what do you both make of that then, eh?”

Armed with a gentle smile, Abara observed the exchange in silence. She narrowed her eyes, fingers dancing idly against her glass, and considered the young woman before them. There was something curious about this Lady Doyle. Something strange. She was awfully troubled for a newlywed about to embark on a romantic getaway. Then again, even Tal found it suspicious that an old friend simply wound up on the same cruise as she. Perhaps the poor Lady had reason to worry. And perhaps she was another victim paralysed by overcaution.

Tal elected to reserve judgement. She watched as Mr Doyle invaded the scene, soon sweeping his wife from her feet to coax her inside. Abara furrowed her eyebrows, following the pair’s fleeting figures until they disappeared from view. It happened too quickly for the psychologist to assess. But, it was abundantly clear that Mr Doyle was too an unusual character.

Cobb’s voice tempted her thoughts back to him and Logan. She turned to them and wondered, briefly, if their observations were akin to her own.

“Like I said earlier ensign as a vulcan I dont show emotions cause it is illogical for us vulcans to show emotions. I know that for sure.” Said Logan. Knowingly that he isnt wrong with the fact that hes a vulcan explains a lot to them.

Ensign Logan

Zachariah frowned. “Aye, that’s all well and good, Mr Logan. But I meant, what did you make of our newlyweds there. Did nothing about either of them strike you as interesting?”

  • Captain Zachariah Cobb

“Mrs Doyle seems unnaturally distressed,” Tal offered as a starting point, “even for a newlywed.”
