After dropping Jeane off at Gil’s place, Jin’Lor slowly made his way to Luna’s quarters. The closer he got the more nervous he felt, for it had been a long time since he had been on a real date with someone, let alone someone as beautiful Luna. Arriving there, he had to stand at the door for a long moment and even checked the time once before finally pressing the chime.

He prayed that this would work out.

Luna was nervous too she had not been on a date since… the memory was to painful she forced it away and she fought with her hair trying to add a small blade that would circle around her head. She had chosen a long dark blue dress with sparkles.

The chime rang. ” I hope that’s Jin with my luck it will be Gill or some one else with Cerenity” she said as she headed to the door. Presently Suprized to see Jin. ” Umm… Hi” Luna said almost shyly as her face turned red slitly embarrassed she had thought he would not show. After all who could love such a twisted life form like her well other then loki.

The moment the door opened, Jin’Lor could not help but take in Luna’s appearance. The dress only added to her beauty and this made him blush rather darkly. He had almost assumed his suit would be too much for the date, but he had always been more comfortable in them. “Hi, Luna,” He finally said after mentally slapping himself back into reality. “You look…gorgeous.”

He blinked, shocked he had actually said that out loud.

Luna looked at him. ” No you just saying that” she said stepping out of her qurters. ” So where are we going she asked.

“I’m serious, Luna.” Jin’Lor retorted before thinking of the holodeck. “I figured the holodeck might be a good place to go. Set it up with a nice place you like.” He suggested, still nervous and surprised she had actually agreed to this date.

” iv never really left the ship its been a long ine sence iv been on a planet” Luna said sheepishly as she followed Jin to the holodeck.

“I see…do you like cherry blossom trees?” Jin’Lor asked as he set up the holodeck for them both. “I remember a place I visited with Jeane once that was full of them.”

” I live Cherry blossoms iv never actually gotten to see them in real life though” Luna said with a smile.

Jin’Lor tilted his head as he let the holodeck do its job of brining up the cherry blossom tree forest. “Maybe we can visit that place one day.” He said with a smile to her to her. “For now, I hope this will do.”

” oh its beautiful” Luna said with a smile as they walked into the holodeck. She looked around her eyes filled with wonder. She looked back at Jin. ” I did not know that Scientist could think about anything other then science” Luna said.

Jin’Lor shrugged at the comment and smiled, happy to see her enjoy the cherry blossoms. “Well, most scientists do have lives outside of work.” He said with a small chuckle, thinking of Jeane and how he had taken the teen to places just so he could feel free. “I think about a lot of things not related to science.” With that comment his eyes wondered back to Luna, taking in how beautiful she was in the dress.

Luna was distracted again this time picking a Few chary blossoms and putting them in Jin’s hair near his ponytail. ” so pretty I love how gorgeous your hair it ” she said with out thinking.

Jin’Lor blinked in confusion as she put the cherry blossoms in his hair, resisting the usual urge he always had to keep people from touching him. He reminded himself this was Luna and not someone out to harm him. “I’ve never really thought my hair to be gorgeous. It’s just a boring brown color.” He said with a chuckle.

Luna giggled shaking her head.” It’s not a boring brown color” she said wondering if he would asked her to explain.

“How is it not a boring brown?” Jin’Lor asked as he looked over Luna’s hair and smiled. The blond strands were beautiful to him, almost reminding him of sunflowers.

Luna smiled ” when the light hits it just right there is gold and black in it” she said. It made her happy to know she know sumthing he did not.

Tugging at a loose strand that fell down in front of his face, he blinked. This was news to him since he had never paid much attention to it. His focus had always been on survival and staying ten steps ahead of his father for so long that he had not taken time to ever pay attention to himself. It was why his hair was so long, after all. “I’ve never really taken the time to pay any attention.” He said with a light chuckle and looked to the trees around them for a moment. “I really hope you like it here…”

” if I did not like it here I would not be here” she said with a grin. She started to play with some of the lose strands of her hair nervously. ” I really hope Cerenity accepts one day” Luna said quietly.

Jin’Lor released his strand of hair to give Luna a curious look. “Really?” He asked. The geneticist was aware of Cerenity’s loyalty to her father and understood it in his own way, but the child did need to understand that people had to move on at some point.
