We once were happy but now we’re unhappy

Xorem, also known as some other named that they couldn’t recall at the moment was being taken somewhere.

Home? Laboratory? Prison? What would happen to them? Would they be studied? Would they be probed? Would they be cut? Would they see the face that sang to them? Years ago? Hours ago? Centuries ago?

Xorem remembered grass, trees, a cave and going into the cave. And going out of the cave and changing.

*But the faces they remembered from the trees and the grass and the cave were not there. Where were the known faces? Why were unknown faces here? Where were they being taken? *

Where were they?

“Xorem” they said in the voice of an adolescent.

Xorem was frightened and screamed. Before the eyes of the ARU officers, Xorem changed from the shape of an adolescent girl to that of a woman probably in her early 30’s, and while they screamed, the sound of the scream matured as the shape of Xorem changed.

“Xorem” they said, but now the voice was that of a woman.

The file associated with Xorem showed the individual was anomalous. It suggested that the original form that Xorem had was that of a girl named Leslie Dean that had disappeared years before. How and when Xorem/Leslie became anomalous in nature was unknown … the parents of Leslie, Nicolas Dean and Caroline McCartney were across the federation in two different locations and may be able to provide answers, calls were put out to them and the starships on which they were serving.

But they had no idea what was happening to them and they were scared.
