Raauhl lowered his head and his tone, “I wish I could tell you Cerenity but that is down to your mother. If you really want to know ask her or if you’d like I could speak to her it may be more convincing coming from another adult.” He offered, Raauhl understood why Luna might want to tell Cerentiy but also he though that the young girl sat in front of him was mature and smart enough to know, at least some parts of the truth.

Cerenity giggled ” you don’t know my mommy very well. She avoids those questions not to mention no one can change mommys mind once she has made it up its frustrating. So how would I say hi to you in Trill” she asked. She focused back on the XO and wanting to learn about trill. She was definitely esaly distracted as well.

Deciding, for now, to move on the conversation he smiled, “Computer disables the use of the universal Translator.” He cleared his throat, he didn’t get to often try his Trill but was excited to try it now. “Iituja ro motux shi zhian kalasham tanula ranupakala majashsh.” He pronounced the worlds, rolling them around his mouth as he spoke. It was almost like a poem than an actual language. He smiled and motioned for her to try, even just making it sound similar would satisfy him.

Cerenity cocked her head to one side then the other Liaoning. ” Can you say that a little slower” she asked. She was unwilling to repeat the sentence just yet she needed to hear it again.

He chuckled, “Ofcourse.” “Iituja - ro - motux - shi - zhian - kalasham - tanula - ranupakala - majashsh.” Raauhl said the words slowly, leaving a gap between each pronunciation so that she could hear them as they rolled of his tongue. He knew she was young but studies showed children who were subject to multiple languages at a young age often found them easier to learn than adults.

After Raauhl repeated the sentence she coppyed him. It was not perfect but understand able at least. ” that really long for hi? What all dose it translate to” she asked.

“Thats was good, we dont really have a direct translation to just ‘hello’ but I think in Human language it means ‘We welcome you home’ Home being your family and friends and not just a set location like a house.” He hoped his explanation satisfied her curiously.
