Hey crew,

I hope everyone is hanging in there as best as they can. I know this has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone - it’s affected peoples health and the health of loved ones, it’s affected peoples jobs and education, it’s kept all of us apart from family and friends and in general it’s added a huge amount of stress to our daily lives.

And I want to say thank you - to those of you who work on the front lines in healthcare or education or retail, to those who have taken on homeschooling their kids or dealt with the stress of sending them to school, to those who have had to deal with going to school themselves, to those who have stayed home to protect themselves or others. And mostly to all of you for creating this little bubble of sanctuary here on the Leviathan, where we can all hopefully find some peace, even if only for a few minutes, from the chaos of the ‘real’ world.

Now I know the holidays won’t be the same this year, for any of us. But I truly hope that you all manage to enjoy it in your own way, to take a break and relax and be thankful that we made it through this crazy year.
So to that end, although the traditional relaxed posting limits have been made optional this year, I want you all to know that I WILL be relaxing the posting limits for the Leviathan.

So from the 21st December to the 4th January, we will not be monitoring AWOLS nor hassling anyone about them.

Of course, if you DO still want to post, even if only occasionally, then we have a very exciting holiday schedule planned:

• Firstly, we have our main seasonal holiday encounter, courtesy of the amazing Brian Armstrong: The Galactic Doughnut. It’s only just getting going so please jump in and get involved here: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/leviathan/posts/112703/


• Secondly, the ever-imaginative Jay Luistro has envisioned a wonderful holiday planet where our characters can all take some time away from anomalies and have a well-deserved break. Ack…who am I kidding? There is never an escape from anomalies, haha! But still, it will be fun to tangle with them in a more picturesque setting! I’ll liaise with Jay on getting this thread kicked off in the next week or so also.


• Never one to miss the chance for a get together, Cobb will be throwing his annual, seasonal shindig if people just want to mingle and let their hair down.


• And I don’t want to give too much away, but I know one other member of the crew has something very special planned for as the big day approaches.

Of course, posting in any and all of these threads will be completely optional and they will all be set at a slow posting rate to allow for a truly relaxed atmosphere. I will be around for most of the holidays and can be contacted here, in email or in discord if you have any comments or concerns at all.

So other than that, it just falls to me to offer a warm seasonal greeting. Despite everything going on in the world, this has been an amazingly creative time for the Leviathan. What we’ve all achieved here this year has been truly phenomenal and long may she continue into the future!
