“You and I are going to get along just fine.” Casela turned to Bog, “I like him.” The shuttle flew the distance to the rogue planet. Casela brought her out of warp and into a smooth orbit. “Alright, she flies and maneuvers amazingly. Show me the rest.”
Lt. Synthi-erThe weapons systems and twin shield generators came on line, a class V phaser ring mounted both top and bottom, plus a pair of micro torpedo launchers with six round rotary magazines.
“Designate your targets Miss Casela.” Huey spoke up.

Casela pulled up the shuttle’s sensors. “Ah, here we go. Several sizeable ice chunks. No gravitational pull, no raw materials, and no life. Just ice.” She turns and looks at Bog. “Don’t need to blow up anything that would cause a fight.”
Lt Synthi-erThe sensor suit was an upgrade as well, heavy on the passive but with a healthy active kit as well. “Targets squired Miss Casela.”
Huey
Casela looked at Alfred and blinked. “You do know what to do don’t you?” She snickered. It was good the thing wasn’t trigger happy, but…”So Bog tell me, if I’m actually under fire is this thing going to actually work and take over or will have to give him step-by-step instructions?” She looked back at Alfred, “Let’s use phasers. No need to waste the mini torpedoes. Fire please Alfred.”
Lt. Synthi-erBog sat silent, but grinned. Wile the shuttle shuttered as the over powered phasers fired.
“That entirely depends on your orders and the threat I perceive, Miss Casela.” The ship seconds per bank.
Huey
Casela raised a single brow at Bog as the shuttle shuttered with the power of the phasers. “And this test run was going so well. How much power loss are we talking about when we fire this thing and are still moving? Not worth it to fire if I might lose speed.” She looked over the displays and then out the screen. “But that was an impressive hit.” She nodded out the window to the ‘raindrops’ of frozen ice spreading everywhere. “Shall we see how the landing gear works?” She piloted the shuttle around and set course to land on the planet. They wouldn’t get out of course, but they could still land. The decent through the atmosphere was on par for the amount of turbulence to expect. And the landing was smooth and pleasant. Casela didn’t even look at Bog. “What else you got Alfred? Try and impress me.”
Lt. Synthi-er“The systems are overclocked, you can use them all at rated capacity or you can cut power to other systems to max the capacity of one. So you can run the sublight hot but it will cost shields and phasers about a third of their capacity. The back ups will handle short bursts but that costs you as the banks are depleted and you have to depend on main power.” Bog spoke blandly as he fed instructions to the HUI.
A team of Breen appeared at about twenty five yards from the ship and began to advance, as the shuttles phasers began to fire, not in the secronized bank fashion but as individual emiters taking out the holographic enemy. The hull again shutters as the drone launched to give the grounded shuttle better eyes. As it gaines altitude altitude The holo grid engages to show a downed and damaged Dominion fighter in its place. Even the sensor readings were almost identical as the compressed trititanium hull plating shielded the shuttle from most scanners and the ECM package engage.
The little shuttle then leaps back wards into the air and begins to circle as the lower phaser bank begins to lay down suppressive fire as the shuttle swings around dropping the rear hatch to recover a holographic away team as the upper phasers take over the suppressive fire. Leaping into the air to recover the drone inflight the drives over clocking to gain orbit.
“We have active countermeasures As well, but we may need Captain Manhattan. Or perhaps Captain Cobb assistance to properly demonstrate them, Miss Casela.”
Huey
Casela watched, without flinching as the Breen appeared. She’d seen Bog programming the computer while they talked. She was impressed with the program and it’s adaptability. “Those holograms are impressive and if it can make that look convincing to the sensors, I can’t wait to see what it does in camouflage mode.”
As the shuttle reaches orbit, Casela sets it back into a high orbit. “So Alfred, here’s the important question. How are you as a doctor?” Her missions tended to make her get hurt or others. And she had more than few enimies out there. “Alright, maybe it’s time to go …” The shuttle rocks and red klaxons start going off. “Okay, Alfred that’s..” She looks at the sensor readings and then out the view screen. And just in case she looks at the display screen for the holo emitters. “Ah crap! That’s not fake.” Casela whips Valkyrja around and sets in a return course, while the shuttle gets rocked again. “Alfred! Do you not see this is a real threat. Shields, man Shields!”
=^=This is the Breen Warship Dresna. You have destroyed a Breen scout ship. You will surrender.=^=
Casela looked at Bog, “No.”
=^=Shuttle Valkyrja to Leviathan....we have a problem.=^= The sound of the ship being rocked by phaser fire can be heard and a lot of cussing coming from the counselor. “You just HAD to make the hologram into a Breen ship, didn’t you, Tellek.” =^=Leviathan, prepare for visitors.=^= and the com was shut off. Casela turned the shuttle and engaged the warp drive…
Lt. Synthi-erThe HUI had seen the threat and was launching sensor decoys, angling the overclocked shields wile figuring firing angles to use some of the ice moonlets to provide additional screening. “I am rather busy, Miss Casela. Might I suggest that discretion is the better part of valor.” The little ship shutters as the photon torpedoes began to fire but they wink out of sight as they clear the launchers, to appear just below the visual horizon to streak up and engage the Breen ship.
Huey
Back on the Leviathan, the captain had been about to hand bridge control to Lt McReady, then retreat to his ready room and stare at the latest reports. It could not be denied that Mr Bog had installed some immensely impressive upgrades to the shuttle Valkyrja. As for the test flight that he and Lt Synthi-er were currently undertaking, that was nothing more than a routine operation. But still, Zachariah could not ignore the churning in the pit of his stomach and the vague yet urgent sense of impending doom.
The call from the shuttle itself came at exactly the right…or perhaps it was the wrong…moment.
=^=Shuttle Valkyrja to Leviathan....we have a problem.=^=
Cobb scrambled back to his seat and immediately attempted a reply, although a few seconds of the audible chaos on the Valkyrja broke through before he could speak.
=Ah, Shuttle Valkyrja, this is the Leviathan. What is your situation?=^=Silence. Punctuated by the staccato cries of phaser fire.
=Shuttle Valkyrja, do you…=^= Zachariah attempted to demand, before being cut off…=^=Leviathan, prepare for visitors.=^=
At Cobb’s side, McReady pulled up the data they’d managed to gather on the Valkyrja’s surroundings and the unknown vessel making its approach.
“Ah, Captain Cobb? You might want to see this, Sir?”No. This was not possible. There had to be some kind of mistake.
=^=Valkyrja, just what the hell is going on here?=^= Cobb roared over the comms.
- Captain Zachariah Cobb
=^=I am sorry Mister Cobb, but both Miss Casela and Mister Bog are busy. We seam to have ran afoul of a Breen warship.=^= came the very proper English accent.
