Jonathan turned to the young ensign; “Thank you ma’am, I appreciate your time.” After all, it paid to be polite; it tended to encourage others to step in front of danger for you.

He entered the Sickbay; the ensign already forgotten. Stepping clear of the door and the marked pathways in the bay, he stood stock still, his head slowly panning around. Having taken measure of his surroundings, he advanced on the Chief Medical Officer’s door; a Lt. Fey Kastil, according to the nameplate. Disregarding the chime, he knocked twice; the metal-on-metal contact ringing out clearly.

The door slides open and reveals a tall, disproportionate woman in a lab coat. Her arms, leg, and fingers are far too long for her body, and the angular features of her face give her an other than human look regardless of being actually human. The woman’s red-orange eyes look over the Crewman, then back to a PaDD, “Did you bring your medical records Crewman Durheim? They were not sent over and when I requested them from your previous command they failed to follow through. If you don’t have any we can of course rebuild them until the original come in, but it will make this appointment take far longer as I will have to establish the full array of medical needs. Also, have you checked in with your Chief Engineer or did you plan to do that visit after your medical check-in?”

The immediate launch into business delighted Durheim - no meaningless pleasantries taking up valuable time. “Yes Ma’m; I have my records here, one moment.” Digging briefly through the large toolbag he carried at his side; he retrieved a data crystal and passed it over.

“Can’t say why they didn’t forward them; though there isn’t much there - I’ve only been in StarFleet’s care for the past year or so. I have taken the time to add full details regarding my cybernetics to that file; and I’d be happy to answer any questions of course.”

“I’ve not yet checked in with the Chief; I wasn’t sure if there would be a priority on medical check-in.”
