Stores stepped off the lift and with just a few strides he was in Main engineering. He doubted the Chief was in her office but it wouldn’t take her long to appear, no that he wasn’t one of her subjects.

Ellie was indeed not in her office, she was, however, in the main engineering bay underneath one of the panels that had blown over night that had not been repaired “Stores, hand me a hyperspanner on that console.” She said recognizing the engineer by his shoes “What’s going on?” She asked as she held out her hand for the requested piece of equipment.
