The Bridge was relatively quiet, at least for a ship the size of the Dresden. The only comms traffic was a dialogue between the officer on Communications duty and the red-haired Bajoran he had met the night before who was likewise on Communications duty on the station. Speaking in a low voice, he said =/\= Well, I probably could get away after my watch is over. But you’d have to make it worth my while. =/\= and there was a giggle from the other end and a woman’s voice said =/\= Oh, I think I could prob- =/\= and then the communications panel alerted to a priority message coming through.

=/\= USS Dresden. This is Star Fleet Command, Admiral Tulo’t’s office. The Admiral wishes to speak with Captain Holloway immediately, Priority One. =/\= The Ensign stammered and blushed from the top of his to hie toes. =/\= Y-y-y-y-yes! I m-m-m-mean -=/\= and he took a deep breath. =/\= Star Fleet Command, USS Dresden. Patching you through to the Captain now. =/\= and he tapped some commands into the interface. He then activated the ship’s comms. =/\= Captain Holloway, Ma’am. Admiral Tulo’t on comms for you. Priority One. =/\= and he sent the signal to the ready room.

Bridge

It had been an uneventful morning. Ever since they had been scheduled back on board, the Dresden had been returning to its daily rhythm. However, with a faster restocking than anticipated, there was nothing currently scheduled for the ship, and the crew had fallen into a peaceful lull, enjoying a few short days of on board R&R.

Molly was sure that at some point, something would fall on their plate, and she had a feeling that it would be sooner rather than later. And sure enough, when the officer’s voice had come in through the comms, Holloway wondered if that was it.

Tapping a button on her desk, Molly replied back to the Bridge. =/\= Acknowledged. Thank you. =/\= Before turning to face her terminal and tapping the command that would open the commlink and allow for the call to be established.

“Admiral Tulo’t, I presume. How can I be of assistance?”
