Stores was startled as Priscilla brushed past him at the hanger bay hatch, and fight himself watching he retreat.
Turning back to the hatch he saw Hammor with what at first he thought, due to the red hair and black uniform to be Captain Halloway tucked under his arm like a wayward child. Bad time to come hunting the Chief, Stores he thought as he stepped back from the hatch way and palmed his com badge.
=^= Stores to Bridge, we need the Captain and Mister Forgrave in the hanger bay ASAP. We have a… the pause was noticeable… situation=^=The old spacer instinctively stuck his hand in his pocket and palmed his phaser, would stun even slow down the Chief?
Clinton”Stores” Reed, Supercargo
Harris saw Stores go for his phaser and quickly waved him off. “That won’t be necessary Ensign.”
Harris/Hudson
Stores nodded but kept it palmed as he answered the bridges query. Might have to stun the Jarhead, if she is just half as ornery as the boss.
Clinton”Stores”Reed, Supercargo
Hammor walked briskly out the entry and as the door slid closed, he set the Colonel back on her feet on the deck and took a step back. Looking down at the assembled individuals, he addtessed Hudson and then Harris. “Now then, Colonels. One. Of everyone standing here, myself and Mr. Stores are the only ones who are supposed to be here at this time. Yes, you have fighters docked here. Yes, they belong to you and you alone. But as they are currently docked, and we have loading operations underway, your presence… just like the presence of the CSO… is a safety issue. And I will not have spectators getting injured because they were somewhere they shouldn’t have been… regardless of their rank.” He took a breath and then looked at Hudson directly.
When he spoke next, his voice was calm and professional… Stores would recognize the tone from their conversation with the former Quartermaster. “Colonel… you told me to move you… twice. So I did.” He then looked at Harris. “You, sir, told me to put her down. And I did. Now… if you would like my pips, go ahead and take them. I’d rather that happen than one or both of you get crushed by an automated cargo gantry.”
He pauaed for a moment and then put his hands behind his back and simply waited, unflinching.
Hammor, Ops Chief
There was no way he was going to get seven meters between himself and the potential mayhem but Stores slunk back to get a clear shot when things turned violet. Where in the Nine Hells is the Holloway?! sleep twenty hours and this is what you get, every one looses their damn minds!
He had no doubt who he would shoot first, the only question in his mind was who he shot second, and how many times would it take to bring Hammor down…

=^=Forgrave here - on my way. Be there shortly.=^= Issac continued moving down the corridor, towards the hanger bay. What in the fraggin’ hell is going on now?! Fortunately (or unfortunately; he wasn’t sure yet…) he’d been in the area when Stores’ call had come over the comms. Hearing the urgency in his tone, he’d started running immediately. He supposed getting the computer to transport him would have been a bit faster, but not by much. And Issac would rather run - on some level, he didn’t fully trust the transporter.
Coming around the corner; Issac immediately saw the gaggle of people; some known to him, others not. He didn’t know the situation, but the tension in the air was clear. He recognized Harris and Stores; but two - no, three of the others were strangers to him. On first glance, he had mistaken one of the officers for Holloway - red hair was fairly distinctive.
Approaching the group; it was clear that there was conflict of some kind - Stores and an unknown Orion with the pips of a Lieutenant New Ops chief, maybe? appeared to be facing off against Harris and the unknown redhead; with another woman off to the side, trying to stay out of it by the looks of things. There looked to be more than enough Brass here to govern a small nation; no wonder tempers were flaring.
“Void’s Teeth! What the Hell is going on here?” Issac barked fiercely at the group; anger clear in his voice. Of those present, only Harris had heard that tone before - it was a rarity for the level-headed and thoughtful officer. “Clear back NOW!” Forcefully, he jabbed his finger at the distinct groups, directing them away from each other; hoping to take charge and defuse the situation before things got ugly. If nothing else, maybe their wrath would be directed at him instead…
Issac Forgrave, CoS
“Voids teeth” Stores groaned under his breath and raised his left arm as if to ward off a blow. And here we go switching the phaser to wide dispersion.
Clinton”Stores”Reed, Supercargo.
Coming up the corridor, Molly could already see the small group of people standing at the Hanger Bay entrance. Wearing a black Starfleet Intelligence tank top and a pair of black leggings, it was clear she had been in the middle of a workout when she had been called. Her ballerina bun was loose in her head, her fists were still wrapped in black hand wraps, and she was not pleased.
“Let go of your weapon Ensign.” Holloway’s eyes didn’t even seem to glance at Reed as she said it, before carefully glaring at each of the present individuals. Her tone was stern and quiet much in contrast with Forgrave’s just moments before. It carried the weight of someone incredibly disappointed. “Does anyone care to tell me why I was called here?”
Holloway, CO
Stores safed his phaser and slid it back into his pocket”It looked like an O6 sized problem m’am” Stores had a sheepish grin on his face but his eyes were very much concerned. “Way above my pay grade”
Still not taking his eyes of the lady Marine, he had a duty to his crew and wasn’t half bad with a phaser push come to shove. But he did relax a bit and leaned back against the bulkhead.
Clinton”Stores”Reed, Supercargo
Hammer looked at the CoS, then the CO. He just shook his head and sighed. Crossing big arms across a broad chest, he looked at the two Marine officers and said “I defer to the Colonels, Captain.” He looked back at Harris and Hudson, more curious to see how much they would let this spiral… and how much they wouldn’t handle it themselves… than nervous of any repercussions that may fall his way. To his mind… he just did as he was told. First and foremost, Cadets… you and only you are responsible for the orders you give. So think before you order your subordinates to do something you may regret later. they had been told the first day of the Academy. That was a lesson he never forgot.
Hammer, Ops Chief (For Now)
Hudson gazed up at the Ops Chief, glaring with less anger and more challenge than he might have expected. “I was trying to complete the Transfer Inspection… per my office’s directives… when we were challenged, ordered to leave, then physically removed from the Hanger by him.” Hudson said with a snap.
Harris nodded with a sigh. “She’s right Skipper… OASP requires inspection of Transferred Equipment by someone from their office. Director Hudson was going through that tour with me when Chief Hammors ordered us off the Bay. Needless to say, the Colonel is… annoyed.”
Hudson/Harris
Hammer didn’t budge but said “In my defense, Captain, the Colonel did tell me… twice… to remove her. And neither Colonel Hudson or Colonel Harris informed Operations that they need to do an inspection during resupply. Or if they did…” he added to give everyone some wiggle room, “… it never reached me.”
Hammor, Ops
“So… Let me see if I got this straight.” Molly crossed her arms over her chest, a slight impatient expression on her face, her gaze moving between Cal, Hudson, and Hammor. “You are telling me that I was called here because my officers acted like kindergartners over a communication issue instead of solving it like Starfleet officers?” Her tone was stern but not angry.
Harris and Hudson both looked a bit more chest-fallen than when Holloway had first showed up. Both nodded slowly, Harris looking a bit more defeated than Hudson… who looked annoyed enough that she had to cow to a Fleeter while just doing her job, in her opinion. Which would already had been done if not interrupted.
Stores checked operations logs, and didn’t see any request. But suspecting Holloway would notice he shrugged, perhaps it went to Star-base one but as he wasn’t on their payroll anymore his access had been resended. So he just shook his head.

Priscilla had stopped her hasty retreat when voices rose behind her. Turning around, the Science Chief didn’t like what she saw. Moving back towards the group, she lingered close to the wall.
But as Security and the CO showed up, she pushed away from the wall and moved closer to Hammor. This wasn’t his fault. And given the chance, she’d make sure the decision makers knew that.
Priscilla
CSOWhat the hell “Sorry Captain, I may have over reacted, it looked like two on one and I figured the Colonels might have been out numbered.” Stores hoped that if he could draw fire, perhaps the brass saves face and Hammor gets out of this with his green hide intact.
He trusted Captain Holloway but he was Iffy on the CAG, he was stuck in the middle and he didn’t know how he felt about loosing his command. “I had to take a personal day, and the LT had to pick up the slack, it’s been a hard week, M’am.Clinton”Stores”Reed, Supercargo
Molly’s eyes snapped to Reed. “Mr. Reed, I appreciate your input, I am not interested in why you thought it was necessary to draw a weapon on other members of the crew, but since you washed your hands from the incident by stating that it was above your pay grade just moments ago, I suggest you act as such.” It was clear she wasn’t happy with the whole situation.
Priscilla was watching Reed throw himself on the sword and knew this wasn’t the time. Slowly moving to stand beside him, she smiled and lightly touched his arm. “Let’s just support him here and let ‘them’ sort this out. It will be all right.” She nodded in reassurance and hoped the poor man, who seemed wound up and ready to pounce the first one who misspoke about the Ops Chief, would take a step back and relax a moment.
Priscilla
CSOHolloway’s gaze spotted the CSO for the first time, and with a nod to the woman, a hint of gratitude showed in her face.
Hammer looked at Stores and shook his head slightly. Despite the amount of Brass and attitude surrounding him, he was calm and steady.
“Everyone, stop. With all due respect to the ranking officers and various Department Heads… we all have more important things to be doing right now.” He looked at Harris and Hudson. “Colonels. No one informed Operations of the need to do an inspection. And neither of you mentioned a mandated inspection until just now. Had that been communicated properly by your division, Colonel Hudson, then this would be a non-issue. Colonel Harris sir. Had either of you explained the situation in the bay when we first started speaking, arraignments could have been made. Instead, I was given a dressing down that included your Top Gun training… which isn’t even germane to this. Had you or Colonel Hudson decided to explain, rather than berate, we wouldn’t be here right now. But as it stands, Ops has no request for an inspection. Tberefore, loading operations will continue as is needed.” He then looked at Hudson.
“Ma’am. I asked everyone, politely, to leave the bay as it is a safety issue. You chewed me out and poked me in the chest with your finger. You then ordered me… twice… to, and I quote… ‘just try to move’ you out of the hanger. You instigated the physical contact. You ordered me to move you. So I did. Colonel Harris, you told me to put her down. I did.” Hammor then turned to address the group as a whole.
“Standing here right now is a significant portion of the Command team of this ship. And with all due respect to the ranking officers… all of us have more important things to be doing at this time than standing here moaning about why some people can’t be in the bay.” Hammor then looked at Hudson. “Ma’am, you want my pips, take ‘em.” He looked at Harris. “Sir, same offer to you.” He then looked at the Captain. “Ma’am. As I told you when I checked in… I have a job to do, and I will do it without regard to feelings, rank, or personal repercussions. I won’t mince words or beat around the bush.” He then looked at the two Colonels. “The same straightforwardness I give to you. So unless I am going to be tossed in the brig, we all really need to get back to work.”
Hammor, Ops Chief
Priscilla nodded in agreement, having been present for the whole thing. She then tapped Reed on the arm. “Come on, Stores,” she smiled softly. “Will you help me make sure I’ve got everything I need for science?” She nodded her head down the hall.
As the two least significant to this soiree, she figured getting them out of the sight of the others was prudent.
Priscilla
CSOTaking one last look at the ‘Director’ “yes m’am, What I need the Chief for can wait, or will soon be irrelevant.” Standing up strait, “With the Captain’s permission.” The stress on ‘Captain’ being obvious. Stores turned in the direction of the lift and started to walk away.
Clinton”Stores”Reed, Supercargo
Despite the unpleasant circumstances around his initial meeting of Hammor, Issac found himself warming to his ‘Duty First’ attitude - something that he personally appreciated. His attitude was decidedly colder towards… Colonel Hudson, or so he thought her name was; assuming he heard it correctly. ‘Appendage measuring contests’ and name-dropping sat very poorly with Issac; and if Hammor had represented the situation correctly, she had instigated both. But he knew better than to let that color his actions; his duty was to remain impartial. Reigning in his temper, he considered his next words.
“Sir, Ma’am, I believe the Ops Chief is correct here. I’ll of course defer to the Captain of this ship; here Issac directed a courteous nod towards Holloway but to my understanding this is an active loading dock - access should be restricted per regulations and Operation’s commands. If inspections need to be made, Ma’am, they need to be scheduled and confirmed. A hover-pallet may not out-rank you, but I think y’all might find physics don’t care much for the chain of command.”
Turning back towards Hammor, Issac continued. “Sir, I feel I owe you an apology - I’d directed my people towards Operations to help with safety and security, but it’d seem we fell short a hair. I hoped to prevent such incidents, and that clearly didn’t happen.”
Issac Forgrave, CoS
Hammor inclined his head towards the Security Chief and said “No apologies needed. Lots of moving parts right now, things are bound to get lost in the shuffle. But if we act to address them…” and he looked at Hudson, “… and not react to the situations they cause; -” and he lookeed back at Forgave, ” - then we can make sure the small things dont become large problems.”
Hammer, Ops Chief
Molly listened to the conversation in silence. It seemed that finally the group was having the conversation they should have had before matters escalated. Turning to Hammor, Holloway said. “Colonel Hudson came on board prior to the refit. It might be the case that with the change in the ship’s personnel, the Dresden’s docking, and all that comes with it, some communication might have fallen through the cracks and failed to reach your desk. However, the next time something this happens, I would ask you to contact me or Commander Renveer about it. Now…” Molly’s eyes moved to Hudson. She wasn’t very familiar with the woman, but of the small number of interactions both had shared, Holloway was under the impression that she had quite the aggressive temper. “… Colonel Hudson, is what Lieutenant Hammor described true? That you scolded him and proceeded to, and I quote, ‘poke him in the chest while asking him to remove you from the Bay’?”
Holloway, CO
It took a moment for the comment to register before Hudson’s eyes met Holloway’s. Her tone was apologetic but there was still a line-in-the-sand challenge behind those angrily glowing green eyes. “I did ma’am. I lost my temper but that is both not an excuse for my behavior…” Her eyes shot to Hammor for a moment before returning to Holloway. “… or his. I shouldn’t have touched one of your officers but he had no right to…” Her tone was starting to increase in intensity and anger as she spoke before Harris cut Hudson off mid-sentence to try and reel this whole thing back in before it got more out of hand and Molly kicked Devri’s ass all over the Hanger Bay.
“At ease Colonel.” Harris snapped flatly and… if looks could kill… Harris would be a smoking crater as Hudson’s fiery gazed snapped to the man by her side. “You lousy, son of a…” Hudson began the swear before Harris repeated himself. “Dammnit Starbuck, I said knock it off!” Harris quickly replied, cutting Hudson off once more before returning to Molly’s gaze. “Look Skipper… Director Hudson is on a tight schedule and I’m sure with everything going on, changes and all, the documentation likely got jacked.” The Marine pinched the bridge of his nose as he sighed with a momentary closure of his eyes before returning them to Molly. “The only person here that conducted himself as a complete professional was Chief Hammor…” Devri’s jaw dropped and as she took a sharp breath to reply, Harris raised a single hand… the back of which was about three inches in front of Colonel Hudson’s face silencing her before she could make a sound and sending her expression and complexion into glowing red hatred.
“… and though I do not feel that carrying a Director from Starfleet Headquarters like a doll off the Bay was appropriate nor necessary… I do feel he & you are owed apologies over this mess.”Hudson looked like she could kill Harris with her bare hands as Harris moved his gaze to Hammor. “Chief… no one is going to demote you or throw you in the brig. You have work to do and so do we. Colonel Hudson and I are both cleared at all times, per regulation, to have access to any area with a Fighter on this ship. However…” Harris smiled a half cocked smile. “… you are, in fact, quite correct as to the necessitation of prior notice during a period of loadout. That said, I would like to use this opportunity to provide said notice. Now… Colonel Hudson needs to be back, with her completed report, at HQ in just over an hour… or we very well might lose our Aerospace Detachment. With your notice of our intent, we really need to finish our inspection and I am sure you & the Skipper have better things to do with your time. May we proceed, Mr. Hammor?”
Harris/Hudson
Hammor looked at Harris and said “As I told the Security Chief, Colonel, no apologies needed. We all have jobs to do.” He then looked at the Captain and said “Ma’am. With your permission, I’ll take Colonels Hudson and Harris on their way and make sure they get their documentation complete.”
Hammor then looked at Hudson and simply extended a large arm towards the doors to the bay. “Ma’am.” was all he said.
Hammor, Ops Chief
Priscilla had watched Reed go and was not far behind when the snapping between the Marines picked back up. She paused just long enough to hear the apologies and turned away once more to head for the lift. When no one could see her face because her back ward to them, she smiled and shook her head slightly, murmuring, “Not the only one who behaved.”
Even she had been the first to admit her mistake to first the Chief then the others. But she had, like Hammor, been run over like dirt under a landing shuttle craft. Details didn’t matter enough to make her turn around and defend herself. It was just amusing, to her, how quickly quiet spoken people were dismissed.
She turned at the lift, the smile still on her face, and waited for it. Her glance still on the large Orion now almost 100 feet away.
Priscilla
CSO
Waiting at the lift for Priscilla, “Most women Are like velvet gloves over iron, the Captain adds a mailed glove over it all” Stores was grinning. “ She has a big heart she tries very hard to hide.” He would tell any one who asked that she had bought his loyalty with a fancy pork sandwich, but the truth was it was the simple compassion that she showed helping him face his agoraphobia. She was the Captain and he would fallow her threw hell.
