The pair followed the young XO to the lift down to the deck where they would find Transporter Room 1. The ride down was quiet, the woman reviewing her PaDD and York.. well, York reviewing Manning.

As they stepped off the lift, York walked alongside Manning as they moved through the ship, as if he knew exactly where he was going. As they approached the door to the Transporter Room, Ryan stopped and asked. “Is it possible I can have a room where Captain Wright & I can have a secure conversation Commander?”

Manning guided the Dresden’s two guests through the corridors, not sure if they needed guidance at all. She felt like she was more of a pro forma rather than an actual necessity.

Amelia was surprised by the request. The man was Intelligence after all… didn’t he… know? Turning to York, Manning replied. “Colonel Harris and Captain Wright were beamed aboard right before your hail. I thought you had seen but… their shuttle didn’t make it back to the Dresden. We transported them from the shuttle before its compromised structural integrity no longer held. I am not sure what Captain Wright’s current health condition is, but I will make sure to have a room ready for you to hold a private meeting. However, the time at which such meeting can occur will be up to the Dresden’s CMO.”

With that, Amelia motioned to the Transporter Room’s door and let the Marine and his companion walk through the doors before her.
