Office of Counselor Renveer - Psych Eval
Posted by Ensign Buddy Cullum (Security Officer) in Office of Counselor Renveer - Psych Eval
Buddy would never understand the need for a psych eval with every new assignment. He was every bit as boring as he was each year at the academy as well as when he boarded the Saracen. Maybe this counselor could dig up something from his psyche that neither he nor Starfleet had managed to find. He doubted it, not the counselor’s ability, but that there was actually anything there to find.Smoothing his uniform shirt in the reflection on the door panel, but reached out and activated the chime.

OOC: Hi there, and welcome aboard! :) Excited to have another great writer on-board!
“Come in!” a warm voice called from inside. As Ensign Cullum entered, a plain-looking trill man looked up from where he was stooped over, then glanced immediately back down at the salt-and-pepper schnauzer who had perked up at the new person’s entrance. “Stay,” Renveer said expectantly as he slowly stood up and turned to the Ensign, offering a smile and extending a handshake in greeting. “Ensign Cullum” he said brightly, “it’s good to meet you. I’m Counselor Renveer. Please, make yourself at home.” The counselor motioned with an outstretched palm to the loveseat that sat opposite of his armchair. Then he moved back to the dog bed and tossed a treat to the schnauzer. The dog, for his part, regarded Buddy with a tilted head, but eventually laid back down.
The office was inviting in atmosphere, colored with earth tones and warm lighting. Renveer’s armchair was made of a similar fabric to the loveseat, both of which were designed for comfort when sitting for extended periods. There were end tables at either side of the loveseat and one next to Renveer’s chair, as well as a half-bookshelf along one wall and a small desk pushed up against the opposite wall from the loveseat. Two potted ferns decorated corners of the room, and there were a couple abstract paintings on the walls that seemed to be mostly color studies. A nondescript rug bridged the gap between the two seating options.
Renveer settled into his chair. “I hope you don’t mind that Wilbur has joined me for today. He’s been down the last couple of days, so I think he just needed a little bit more attention. I’ve been kept pretty busy since coming onboard, poor guy hasn’t seen me as much recently.” Renveer reached down and scratched the dog’s head. “Did you bring any pets along, Ensign? Or leave any behind?”
