OOC: Effectively a re-post since I goofed on the acronym, as well as being redundant on the location. I’ll get the hang of it eventually! (Thanks to Joana for letting me know)IC:
For the second time that day, Issac found himself standing in front of a door, thinking. Having finished his medical onboarding upon arrival on the Dresden, he had commed the Chief of Security LTJG Ashur prior to heading over. Issac had figured even odds on the Chief being present in his office; it seemed like he had lucked out and caught him at a good time.
Dismissing the nerves that had started to build on his walk from deck 3 down to deck 10; he took a moment to check his chrono and run a hand over his moustache. Looked like he had estimated the length of the walk fairly closely, and the wax he had applied was still holding. Usually he left it to do as it pleased, but Issac had figured it wise to try and put his best face forwards as it were, and had taken the time to tame his unruly facial hair that morning.
Suddenly it occurred to Issac that there were likely cameras in the corridor outside his new Chief’s office; the brig was only just around the corner after all. With a fresh jolt of nerves tinged with embarrassment sparking through his system, he leaned forwards and pressed the admittance chime.Bump
Hannibal was walking around in his office, reading the latest reports. He heard the chime and looked towards the door.

Upon hearing the command, Issac entered his new chief’s office. “Good afternoon sir, I’m Ensign Issac Forgrave. I believe we spoke very briefly earlier over comms, about checking in?” Noting the reports in LT Ashur’s hand, Issac paused just inside the doorway. He stood ‘at ease’ just far enough inside to let the door close - the chief appeared somewhat busy, and he didn’t want to hound him right off the bat.
Looking at Forgrave, one would find a man appearing in his early thirties, of average height and sturdy build with a shaved head and face, barring a thick, lightly waxed black mustache.

Hannibal stood where he was and looked at the new Ensign. “Good Afternoon. Have a seat. Would you like something to drink?” He asked as he walked towards the replicator.

“Ah, thank you Sir.” Issac moved carefully to the proffered seat, not wanting to crash into it with the haste that his nervousness wanted him to be in. “Water would be appreciated; or coffee if it’s no trouble.”
While the Chief was busy at the replicator, Issac took a moment to look around the office and orient himself.

The office was rather sparse, a few paintings on the wall, some from romulas, others from Earth, Iraq area. A painting of the God Ashur, the Primary assyrian god of old was behind his desk. Otherwise it was well lit.
=^=Coffee, and Green tea with Honey.=^= Hannibal told the computer. He grabbed the drinks as they appeared. He walked back over to his desk and handed the coffee to the Ensign before sitting down behind his desk.
“How was your flight?” He asked taking a sip of tea.

“Ah, thank you Sir.” Issac took a sip of the coffee; he preferred brewed over replicated, but he had long since gotten used to the slightly diminished taste.
He held the mug in his hands, allowing himself to relax slightly and settle more into the seat as he mentally recounted the trip out to his new posting.
“Uneventful. Longer than I anticipated, I suppose.” A pause. “Being familiar with the shear scope and scale of the Federation’s territory in an academic sense is… very much so different from being used to it in practice. First time I ever left atmosphere was when I went to the academy; I guess I’m just not used to being in transit that long.”
“Most always in the past with longer trips, there was somethin’ I was supposed to be doing. Not so much with this one, and I think I ended up stressing overmuch with anticipation about this posting.” Issac shuffled a bit in his seat, wondering if he was revealing a bit much on day zero.
“Heh, I’ll freely admit that uh, me and idleness aren’t on the best of terms. I like having something to keep me occupied.” Issac took another sip of coffee, falling silent. He hadn’t quite realized that his nerves were still running amok; making him a bit more talkative than usual.

Bump :)
Hannibal smiled. “It’s all good ensign. I might have a solution to keep you occupied. But first, I’d like to know what you think the difference between a leader and a manager is?” He asked, leaning back in his chair and taking a drink of his tea.
