Ellie response was delayed =^=We’re working on the structural integrity right now on the nacelle. It’s a mess down here chief.-^- Ellie said as there was a small flare from one of the lines “Get that shut down.” She ordered =^=We need a fire suppression team down here now. And we may need to get you to shut down the deterium flow to this nacelle.=^=

=^=On it.=^= Orin responded as he began entering system commands to shut down the nacelle’s fuel systems.

“Twonk, take a fire suppression team to assist nacelle repair group.” Orin commanded.

“Yes sir.” NE Twonk replied as he motioned to three other NEs.

At that moment, Ensign Osten and NE Astin entered main engineering, flanked by two other security officers. Osten nodded at Lieutenant Commander Orin. “Ensign Osten, division officer for security division three and Ensign Astin, my assistant division officer. We’re here to assist with the fire suppression team.” Wiles waved over NE Twonk. “You’re with us, the eight of us will have this fire out before you can say ‘warp nine’.”

Ellie touched her comm badge =^=Chief, we need to shut down the deterium to this nacelle. We can’t get to the shut off at this moment. We have shored up the structural integtrity by about 40%, once we get the fire under control, we’ll work on increasing that higher.=^= Ellie was moving towards the fire with an extinguisher in hand as well as additional fire suppression equipment.

A moment later, the team of eight security and engineering ensigns, led by Osten, entered the nacelle. They had all donned oxygen masks and each wielded an extinguisher of their own. Spotting Lieutenant Kleinhoffer through the smoke, Ensign Osten nodded to her and motioned the rest of the fire suppression team forward to follow her lead in tackling the blaze.

Ellie was coughing slightly as she led the way towards the main part of the fire, she began working the fire with the extinguisher she had in her hands. She was working on getting her other members who were further down the walkway =^=Sickbay prepare for burn injuries. =^= She said opening the comm badge, choking of smoke as they worked the fire.

Wiles caught sight of the signature convulsions of smoke inhalation from Lieutenant Kleinhoffer as he moved beside her to fight the fire in tandem. Wordlessly, he took a couple steady breaths in through the oxygen mask, then slipped the tank off of his shoulders and mask off of his face, offering them to Kleinhoffer. His eyes watered as he nodded in affirmation of his intentions.

OOC: The internet ate my reply.

IC: Orin had made the adjustments, shutting down the deuterium flow tot he nacelle and initiatin flush protocold to reduce potential radiation exposuer to anyone having to get near the damaged flow systems.

Ellie took the mask and took a couple of deep breaths and handed it back as she watched the flow slow and the fire start to burn itself out “Orin has initiated the flushing procedure.” She said as she moved foward “We need to find out where the leak is and get it fixed so we can get this engine running again.” She said as she began scanning the lines again and looking for the problem that had led to this fire.

Wiles refreshed his breath with the mask as the fire died out, still waving his hand through the smoke. “I’m not sure I’ll be much help there, Lieutenant,” he wheezed. “But Commander Losc sent Ensign Twonk and these other three engineering ensigns down to assist with that aspect.” He motioned for the engineering NEs that had been part of the fire suppression team to join Kleinhoffer in her search.

NE Twonk stepped over next to Ellie clearing his throat after a harsh cough.

“Let me know what needs to be done.” he said to Ellie.

Ellie looked at Twonk “Once the fire is completely out, we need to make sure that there are no hot spots and we need to scan the line and find the leak and seal it.” She said as she moved forward and ran the tricorder over the area looking for any indication that there were hot spots either behind the wall or within the line itself as well as looking for potential leaks or reason for the fire. “Twonk and Osten, I want you to look at structural integrity. This fire was burning hot. We don’t need it breaking down on us. If you find a weakness, shore it up and let me know.”

NE Twonk opened his tricorder and began scanning fore.

As Twonk began scanning, the medical team arrived. The young CMO stood to the side quietly assessing the situation before ordering her team to do triage. Her eyes met Klienhoffers briefly and she gave the other woman a friendly smile and a wave, then focused on treating the wounded engineer in front of her.

“We’ve got two down, they were moved to the front of the bulk head.” She said “I would suggest that you keep your team outside the bulkhead door. We are still assessing for structural damage and hot spots.” She said “They’ve been exposed to coolant and deterium.” She said giving the medical team a run down as she went back to her job of assessing structural integrity.”

“If you need help moving the wounded, doctor, don’t hesitate to ask,” Ensign Osten called as he checked in with the rest of his security team.

OOC: Just so you all know the previous sim has ended and we are beginning a new one. I’ll leave it up to you to wrap up this thread however you see fit.

Once everythign was repaired or as repaired as it could be, Ellie left the area and signed, she was covered in soot and grime and really wanted a shower, however, she still had a few things to do in main engineering.
