“I wasn’t expecting shots to be honest.” Domingo replied while flipping the shot glass upside down and placing it to the side, “If you find you don’t like it there’s no pressure, I will finish whatever you don’t want. I think trying the tequila crush with real alcohol may be better.”

He grabbed his second shot and drew it near. Quirking an eyebrow he asked in return, “Do you want to at least try it?”

Katie watched as he flipped the shot glass upside down, mesmerized briefly. She returned her attention to the matching glass in her hand and, noting that he had reached for his second shot, a look of competitive determination came over her face. Lifting it slightly away from her body in a slight cheers motion, she tilted her head back and mimicked his motion. A look of surprise came over her features as she coughed slightly, but soon grinned at her companion. “That wasn’t that bad, although I definitely prefer to savor my liquor.”

Domingo grinned in return before taking his next shot, then flipping the glass over and setting it aside.

“I’m fond of sipping at a mixed drink, like a margarita, but nothing is as smooth or made for throwing back as tequila. I’m impressed at how well you took your shot.”, he said while picking up his third.

Katie imitated his actions, flipping her glass over and setting it aside before staring at it curiously. “What’s the significance of the flipped over glass?” she asked and then flushed slightly at her silly question. Grabbing the next shot in the set in front of her, she quickly imbibed it and then set the glass next to the others. Her eyes unfocused slightly as she completed her task and she brushed her fingers through her hair, leaving it messily around her face. “I think maybe that should be it for me,” she commented, a slight giggle inflecting her voice. She shifted in her chair, narrowly avoiding falling off it, but managing to accidentally rub her foot along Chavez’s leg. Her pale skin flushed pink once again as she focused on the turned over shot glasses.
