Katie smiled at him again and made sure that he was situated as comfortably as possible in the chair as she considered his question.

“Well, given the phaser fire I had to dodge to make it into the turbolift, I’d say there’s one heck of an issue,” she commented, feeling her stomach turn once again as she remembered the trip from her quarters to sickbay. “I tried to contact the bridge before I headed here but I didn’t get much response. I don’t know if comms are down or what…”

Hearing about the phaser fire startles Domingo out of the relaxation the hypo facilitated. His hand immediately goes to his hip before realizing his side-arm wasn’t on his person.

“Dammit.” He muttered as a helpless feeling swept over him. A quick shake of the head dispelled that as Domingo decided there was a need to be proactive and not just reactive.

“Is there a weapons locker nearby? If my memory serves, the armory is nine decks up right?” Domingo followed up with a question.

Katie gave him a blank look and then an amused smile. “You did hear me when I said I’m the counselor, right? I have no idea where the armory is,” she replied with a smirk despite the severity of the situation. “I’m not sure you’re in condition to go anywhere, either,” she added, resting her hands on her hips as she studied the ensign.
