Charlie plodded through the doors of the mess hall, she was exhausted from her first few days, adjusting to a new routine and pace but she knew it was important to get to know some of her fellow officers. She grabbed a delicious looking plate of pasta and plonked herself down at a spare table, hoping someone would come and talk to her.
