The scans would show that there were no decidedly issues with either her asthma or bi polar disorder. The doctor would notice that the soft tissue in her back was slightly swollen but everything else was stable. There were no other concerns that would come up.

“Well for the most part your scan results have come back with good results,” Although her words sounded positive Elaine was frowning, “But you’ve got some swollen tissue in your back, it seems unanimous with muscle strain but that wouldn’t make sense…” she trailed off. “Have you fallen recently? Experienced any back pain at all? Tried to do some heavy lifting in Engineering?” she threw the questions at Ellie as her mind ran through possible scenarios that could have aggrivated Ellie’s back.

Ellie looked at Janvier “I have pain in my back 90% of the time. And yes I have lifted items in main engineering as part of my daily duties. Do I try to avoid it. Yes. Is it always possible. No unfortunately it isn’t.” Ellie said “Why is there a problem?”

Kleinhoffer (eng)

The lines in Elaines brow furrowed even more, “You shouldn’t be feeling any pain. You’ve probably just strained your back a little. I’m going to write a note to your superior to recommend that you don’t do any heavy lifting for the next few days.” She reached out and picked up several Hypos and filled them. Once she was done she handed them to Ellie, “These hypos contain Tramadol. If you need them, administer them every 5-6 hours. It should reduce the pain in your back. If it doesn’t see me. You don’t have to take them, but you will hold onto them for the next week encase you change your mind. I also want you to do hot and cold therapy on your back every night, and straight after your shifts. Is that understood?”

Elaine shook her head, “Nope that’s everything for now. Unless you have any more questions I’ll see you in a week.”
