Hey everyone,

This is a post I am not making lightly. It’s something that has been a few weeks in the making, that I have been giving a lot of thought for a while now, and that I have decided is the best course for the Dresden.

As you probably have noticed, my posting frequency has decreased a lot in the past few months. This was not only due to the current pandemic and the toll it took on my own creativity, but also to a few events that happened in my life during it, mostly concerning work and my own studies. These were not bad, by any means, but rather, they made me much busier than I was expecting.

As such, I have been trying my best to keep the ship and my own writing up, but unfortunately, real life is not allowing me to do everything I want to, and I think it is time to pass the Dresden along to someone else that has more availability to bring it back to the amazing ship that I know it can be. I will be finalizing my pending threads until the end of the weekend, and I will be stepping down after it.

Before I go though, I would like to thank Ben Z for being the best XO I could have asked for – thank you for putting up with so much of the work when I wasn’t able to, and for your unwavering support throughout this journey, even when your time was very limited as well. I am incredibly grateful to have been able to command the Dresden alongside you.

Lastly, there’s no way I could ever had made it this far if it wasn’t for every single member of the crew. You are some of the best writers I had the opportunity to write with, and the sheer creativity and imagination of many of the threads I had both the fortune to read or be an active part of, still live in my mind and I’m sure will for a long time to come.

I had an amazing run with the Dresden, and I have every single one of you to thank for it.
