Pawl got up a bit earlier than expected before the alarm. this gave him extra time to get cleaned up have a sonic shower and shave. And find the perfect off duty clothing to where during his tour with Orin. As he finished getting dressed. And got something small to eat as he moved to a mirror for one last once over as he spritz on some cologne as he moved to leave his cabin to meet up with Orin at the lounge so they can deal with whats needed before the tour begins. Pawl walks in and orders an orange juice as he took a seat and waited for Orin to arrive.

Pawl Batario Jo Engineer- Off Duty

Orin entered the lounge right at 1300. He was wearing a charcoal gray t-shirt and sport pants with a red belt. He was bare footed but he had a courier bag over his shoulder.

Orin sat next to Pawl at the bar.

“That’s looks like a good choice.” Orin said indicating the orange juice, “Barkeep! I’ll have an orange juice as well.”

“So what’s on the agenda today?” Orin asked Pawl.

• Orin

“Well, Orin We can start on the lowest decks and work our way up or start at the and work our way down to the lower decks it’s up to you.” Pawl said calmly to Orin.

Pawl

Orin looked thoughtful for a moment.

“Well deuterium storage on the lowest decks are probably the dirtiest so we should probably start at the top.” he said.

• Orin

“I believe we can ignore the bridge a well since we are not in uniform an that part of the tour is not needed.” Pawl said calmly to Orin. “I guess we can start on deck 2?” Pawl offered. “up to you?”

Pawl

“Sure.” said Orin, “Is there anything interesting on deck two?”

• Orin

“Well, we might want to go to deck three instead he looked over the padd apparently all I am seeing it the xo’s office there. We can start on deck three there is a sickbay there and observations lounge. deck 4 is the captain’s quarters and xo quarters. Maybe deck 5 there only senior officers quarters and transporter room 1 and 2 we can start at and look over as long as there is nothing being used at that point. We can deal with other areas that are not so evasive.

Manning sat alone at one of the nearby tables finishing her lunch. She was far away enough that she would not be spotted immediately, but close enough to overhear the conversation between the two officers. It was then that an idea formed in her mind.

As Amelia got up to leave she walked by the two men. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to overhear your conversation but I couldn’t help it…” She paused and smiled. “If you are trying to find interesting places to visit on the ship… might I suggest the War Room? It’s located on Deck 2 and rarely used. Besides, it’s a little nook that not many people know about… And who knows what you might find in there?” With a wide smile and a wink to the two men, Manning added. “Enjoy your visit!” With that, she turned to the doors and left.

Orin looked at Pawl. He was perplexed and it showed on his face.

“War room? That does sound interesting but wouldn’t it be a decently sized room for multiple officers to coordinate tactical plans and strategies? She sounded a bit enthusiastic for us to go there. Maybe something’s broken.”

“It does sound interesting. ” Pawl said casually. ” I am hoping that there is no damage there but if there is we would have no issies on the repairs there. if there was damage there why was it not reported.” Pawl questioned. (Occ: sorry for the confusion)

Pawl

Orin smiled.

“Well let’s go find out. I’m not adverse to getting my hands dirty when I’m off duty.”

• Orin

“let’s hope the place is not outdated and needs an overhaul....” Pawl said with a wicked smile. “But that could be fun too.” as pawl gave out a small laugh.” Lets go see this hidden gem.”

“Right then. I’ll let you lead the way.” Orin said gesturing towards the door.

When Orin and Pawl arrived on the deck, they would be faced with a space unlike any other on the Dresden. Holographic displays filled the walls and scattered among regular information displays for different ships within a fleet. They were all currently offline. However, the most impressive feature of the room undoubtedly the large circular holographic display that stood in the center of the space. It was also currently offline, making it easier to spot the panels on the display’s base that made a compass rose.

Apart from the fact that it didn’t seem to be used for a long time, there was nothing wrong with the objects in the room or with the room itself. Orin’s machine empath sense would not feel anything odd coming from his surroundings, however, he would feel as if there were more components at play in this room than the ones the two officers could see, and these, contrarily to the visible ones, seemed to be online.

The place where most background activity seemed to be coming from was a door to the left side.

“This place is amazing.” Orin said, “And the harmony from the components is like music. Just look at the efficiency of the design.”

Orin looked at the door to the left, “There’s something going on behind that door.”

• Orin

Pawl was awestruck at the complexity of the space but also user-friendly the are was too. Pawl was curious about the music of Orio was mentioning but did not want to interfere with him or the connection that Orin had with the machines. Pawl was going to ask but stopped. “Shall we check the next room?” Pawl asked calmly to Orin. Pawl was not feeling any danger from this door.

The door to the left was a standard keypad activated office door. However, as the pair approached it, it would be clear that the door was unlocked as the close motion would cause it to open revealing a small office space. It would not be possible for them to see more than part of a small table without going in, and with the doors open it would be even more clear to Orin that there was more to that room than met the eye.
