Hello Dresden crew! Joana and I first and foremost want to say THANK YOU for the stellar participation with the start of our main sim! James has really been awesome at making sure every character has a place to interact with the plot, and we’re so happy to see you all taking those opportunities to write with us!

We wanted to do this OOC post to check in with everyone and show our appreciation for all of you. How are you all doing? The world is a chaotic and (frankly) scary place right now, and we hope that you and those you care about are healthy and getting the support needed to make it through all of this in one piece.

We’re hoping to get everyone involved a little bit more OOC in regards to the state of the ship, if you’d like to be more informed! For example, fleet reports are released every month where you can see my, Joana, and James’ thoughts about the ship’s health and progress. I will be posting the last published fleet report link in the XO section of the MOTD for the Dresden going forward. Additionally, in these reports we get the opportunity to ‘spotlight’ a writer for that month, and we want to start making those accolades better known and celebrated! Last month’s spotlights went to Jennifer Ward as Bethany Kovra Gadi & William Deaton as Isaac Forgrave! I will be updating the XO section of the MOTD with those spotlights as well, as they are made.

But we want to spotlight ALL of our players right now, as you are all wonderful additions to the ship and we are lucky to have the opportunity to write with all of you!

• Jennifer Ward has jumped right into integrating her character seamlessly with the crew, and has met pretty much everyone on the ship by this point, which is impressive!

• Charles Stevens has really stepped it up in his role as Chief Operations Officer and did the most thorough supplies check I’ve ever seen before our main sim started, so the Dresden should be ready for anything thanks to him!

• Jeremiah Bullock has taken his engineer from bow to stern and interacted with several different departments, and we love to see our departments working together and bringing their different perspectives to the table!

• Cass Young continues to provide great characterization and exemplary writing that brings emotion and intent into every sentence, and it is always a pleasure to read her posts!

• Kelsey Rice has been a wonderful addition to our roster and has been so friendly and warm to all of her crew mates, making her immediately feel like a part of the family!

• Melissa Aragon continues to take initiative to engage with threads and characters that you might not expect, and we love and appreciate her enthusiasm for high-quality writing!

• William Deaton has been a steady hand on the Dresden for some time now, and has established his character as a trustworthy go-to guy for IC problems, as any chief of security should be!

• Jerome Davis has been supportive of writers on the Dresden and in the club at large on multiple occasions, and his care for all of our experiences in STF is self-evident.

• James Sinclair has been doing wonderfully during his time as GM on the Dresden, bringing us one of the most engaging and consistent main sims I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of in STF! Thank you James, we are lucky to have you!

We have some wonderful people, both IC and OOC, on this ship. Side sims with this crew have always been a lot of fun and they provide lots of insight into the personalities of our cast of characters, so I want to encourage you all to not be shy about exploring side sim storylines that you might want to tell with your officer! Reach out to people you might want to collaborate with on Discord or through email, and if you have an idea you’d like to run by the command staff or James, please do not hesitate to do so! We love writing with you and love to explore the Star Trek galaxy with you, not just in the main sim, but in side sims as well. Think big!
