The new under tunic was going to be the death of him, he had scratched his neck raw with the insistent itching. It was with trepidation and more than a bit of embarrassment that Stores sought help from sickbay.

Walking in to the med deck he looked around for the duty nurse.

There was a new face in the sickbay that day, a Trill Doctor and Ensign, Riari Vaais was seated at one of the stations, typing away at what was likely the first of many reports she would be drafting while aboard the Dresden. She turned upon hearing the door slide open behind her, one arm draped over the back of the chair as she swiveled to see who it was and if it was an emergency. Her first look at the LT. did not cause her much alarm, so instead of leaping to her feet to held she calmly stood and hooked one hand on her hip.

“Good evening officer, what can we help you with today?” She didn’t recognize him from the parade of new faces she had seen walking the ship, and so with a brief stumble of words, she introduced herself. “And uh, My name is Ensign Riari Vaais. I am the new doctor who arrived yesterday. Are you feeling unwell.. “Her eyes flashed to the pips at his collar, and in noting his rank, also noticed the flush of red growing at his nape. “Lieutenant?”

“Stores m’am”, he answered sticking out his hand. Pleasure to meet you. The older man had the too smooth skin on his face and hands that denoted extensive dermal regeneration,
wile the salt and pepper hair and beard stubble hinted at his age. Further giving indication of middle age was his ‘dad bod’ with a bit of a belly, perhaps fifty pounds of additional weight. Tho his clear blue eyes seemed to hide a joke as he greeted the new doctor.

“ I have a bit of a problem…”
