Main Sim - Bridge - Communications? More Like Verbal Assault (Tag CO, XO, Open to Anyone Else)

Posted by Gamemaster Alias Smith N. Jones, Esq. (GMT) in Main Sim - Bridge - Communications? More Like Verbal Assault (Tag CO, XO, Open to Anyone Else)
The Dresden slipped away from its docking clamps and floated slowly away from the station. As it did, suddenly the communications station lit up like a laser light show.

NE Lot’l could be heard transferring comm after comm, and the frustration on his face began to show after just a few moments. “Captain, I’m receiving dozens of incoming comms. Some are asking for specific personnel, some for departments.” and he spun in his chair to face her, a confused and concerned expression on his face. “And Ma’am… there is a Senator Belgrande for you or the XO specifically. She does not sound happy, Captain.”

Molly’s brow furrowed as she looked at the confused Ensign. As a matter of fact, she was probably just as confused as him at the news of the dozens of incoming transmissions. But the most startling piece of news was the fact that Senator Belgrande one of those calls. Holloway had heard her name before, and she was vaguely familiar with her work and political leanings, but she had never expected someone as high caliber as the Senator to be personally contacting her ship.

“Log all the calls, Lot’l. I want a list of every single person currently calling us and which department they contacted. As for Senator Belgrande, patch her through to the Briefing Room.” She turned to Renveer. “Commander, you’re with me.” And with that, she stood from her chair and walked to the Briefing Room, before taking one step back and turning to the young man at the Tactical Station. “Johansson, you have the Bridge.”

“Aye, Ma’am.” The young Lieutenant Junior Grade nervously rose to his feet and walked across the room to the center chair. Even though the Swedish officer was usually a heap of anxiety, Holloway had taken a liking for the towhead blonde. He was reliable, and she knew that with the right push he would make a good Tactical Officer, and maybe even a great Captain one day.

With a last nod, she walked to the Briefing Room.
