Katelyn rolled her eyes in mock exasperation. “I’ll add an authorization for unlimited site-to-site transports to your codes,” she remarked with a smirk. “I can’t imagine you leaving an entire Sickbay to a capable assistant.” She added emphasis to his terminology as she repeated it back to him.

“ ‘preciate it Kiddo,” Ryley said and gave her a wink. “I will have you know I am more than capable of leaving things To other people. Delegation that sort of thing.” He said “are you?”

Katelyn offered a short laugh. She couldn’t imagine Ryley actually delegating an interesting patient or medical problem, but that would remain to be seen as he served aboard the ship. She smirked as she winked back at him and replied, “I’m fantastic at delegating.” She kept her tone neutral so that it would be difficult to tell if she was being honest or sarcastic.

”Uh-hu” Ryley told her as he took another drink and started to eat again. ”i tend to find people who say out loud how good they are at something are trying to convince themselves more than the people in ear shot.” he chewed as he considered her. ”You know, I think I like you Jacobs....you’re just enough the mix of annoying and intriguing to keep my attention.” he signed as if she had worn him down. ”Fine, we can be friends but remember what I said about cuddling.” and smirked as he chewed.
