=^=The outer decks took a little beating, but the sickbay and the CIC are in pretty good shape. What I’ll never understand is they went to all the bother of putting the CIC in the middle of the ship but the Captain and XO quarters are on deck 2… Defeats the whole purpose.=^= she shook her head =^=Ridiculous absolutely ridiculous.=^=

Jen could not help but chuckle. =^= I thought the same thing. 20 decks of maze walking to get there. I’m moving my quarters down closer. =^= The marine decks would be a good fit, he thought.

A rather abrupt and girlish snort came from the captain as she overheard the conversation, shaking her head enough that her black curls swayed side to side. They both had valid points on the erratic layout of the Chimera’s ship class. She couldn’t say she was a fan herself.

Jen had been thinking. Of course it wouldn’t be that easy. =^= Commander, with this tunneling neutrino scan, that implies that you are a data projection which implies data can get through. I’m suspecting that a form of data receiver transmitter on each end of this would be successful? =^= He turned to the Captain who had called for the Chief Engineer. That was good. Once it got to these kinds of nuts and bolts that was getting past his depth.

=^= Yes Captain. We only have about 7 hours until the shields and warp core pushes our power systems to 100% utilization. Once that happens something is going to give as we can only produce so much power at a time. I was going to attempt to see how much energy we can conserve and potentially store to buy us some more time once we hit that limit. We can run the scan, it will just take away from those efforts. =^=

Katelyn made her rounds through all of her favorite curse words as she listened to Sutret’s report with a grimace. They needed to get acting on this and quickly.

There wasn’t time to give the Chief Engineer the entire backstory of her request, but she sincerely hoped that it would confirm what this alternate Commander was saying such that they all felt comfortable proceeding onward with the plan. She made her way over to Jen and his counterpart in time to overhear his last question of her. Standing on her tip-toes and appreciating her heeled boots once again, she murmured the information that Sutret had shared with her for her XO’s ears only. She wasn’t ready to let their opponent know that they were operating on such a limited time scale.
