As the pain in his head subsided he opened his eyes. He blinked a few times as they adjusted to the light, but otherwise they seemed fine. “Still a little sensitive to the light, but at least it doesn’t feel like I’m looking dirrectly into a starr.” He craned his neck away from the doctor to give him better access to his neck. “What’s this forr?” he asked. He trusted doctors but he was still curious.-Raal M’Resh Scientific Advisor
Ryley rolled his eyes “It’s for the nausea.” He said and switched back to the tricorder and did another scan. “What the hell happened anyway?” He asked.
Raal hefted himself up to a fully seated position, still moving slow even though the pain and nausea had passed. No reason to tempt fate. “I was in the lounge to have a drrink and look over some jourrnals. I rremember drropping my PaDD and climbing under the table to get it and then the rrest is kind of foggy. I remember crawling into a jeffrries tube and then I was waking up on this bed.” He patted the surface with his hand. “I gatherr something happened to the ship but that escapes my mind as well.”
-Raal M’Resh, Scientific Advisor
Onthespot stood up after the shoulder had been healed. “Its just like new,” rotating his shoulder as he tried defuse the situation. He understood perfectly that an ensign wasn’t going to say anything smart to a Captain of Medicine nor to his Chief so he was going to say pleasant things.
Ensign Onthespot
Heather rolled her eyes, “What do you think happened, the ship came to a full stop. Otherwise, I’m in the dark because a smart mouth Doctor decided to open his mouth.” Heather said matter-of-factly. She was an immortal being and the doctor made her forget that she seriously needed to keep that fact hidden. So she turned back to the console she was using to try and find any reports, or even power to work with.

Ryley still scanning Raal turned his head to scowl darkly at Heather. “ That’s Smart mouthed Doctor SIR” he emphasised despite his normal distance for rank and titles. He looked her up and down, icy blue eyes taking in the fact once more that she had been uninjured.
“You know, considering the state the rest of your party came in like and that you were obviously with them or near enough to them you’re really lucky that you weren’t hurt either. Now call me an old skeptic but I don’t believe in that sort of luck.”
He turned back to his scans, “look whatever your issue with Doctors is princess, right now it’s not top of my list to investigate but I’ve got a long memory and can be kinda petty so use the console get the information you need, hell go to engineering if you must but you keep running that mouth of yours off while I’m trying to do my job then you’re going to find yourself having a date with a sedative. Get it?” He asked pleasantly.
Ryley
MDHeather glared at the Doctor knowing she would be avoiding him from now on. “Well then Doctor if that’s what you really are, I think I’ll get out of your way and head to Engineering as I originally planned considering your lack of bedside manner or your clear dislike of helping any of your fellow officers I’ll take my leave, but if you try to sedate me you’ll find yourself on your ass for trying it.” She said coldly and turned to leave. She hated mortal doctors. Without another word, to the ill-mannered doctor she turned to leave Sickbay giving the officer a wide berth in case he tried to sedate her after all. She moved faster now though not inhumanly fast as she could but fast for an El’Aurian which is what her record claimed she was.
Heather Argeneau, CE
Ryley shrugged, “Go a head princess, but be it in your own head if you get yourself hurt. And like I said you had better watch that mouth of yours. Threading another officer is a court-martial offence.” He turned his back on her and went back to finishing treating Raal.
“ If that’s what I really am?” He muttered at the scientific advisor, quoting Heather. “What does she think I just go around wielding a medical tricorder and fix people’s head injuries for the hell of it? I mean what am I? The concussion fairy?”
Ryley
MD“You threatened me first ‘SIR’,” Heather said sarcastically over her shoulder as she walked out the door not acknowledging his mutterings otherwise she gives away her exceptional hearing. She made her way down the corridor tapping her combadge again to see if comms were back up yet. She was listening for any signs of danger while her sharp eyes kept a lookout for danger.

“Not a threat princess, medical opinion,” Ryley called after the retreating CE.
Raal gave a single sardonic laugh that was more a sharp exhale through his nose. He saw a little of himself in both officers. Disdain for authority, quick to anger, yet dedicated to their fields. “Fairry, Wizarrd, Mugatu…whateverr you arre, thank you forr fixing my head. I’ll trry not to bounce if off any harrd surrfaces.” He stretched his arms and winced as the pain in his shoulder flared. Raal made a little growly yelp. “My head was so bad I forrgot about this.” He turned his shoulder towards the doctor and tapped the bandage with his opposite hand. “I distinctly rrememberr pulling a fully embedded forrk out of this.”
-Raal M’resh Scientific Advisor
Ryley scratched his beard absently. “I could pull off wizard.” He said ponderously. When the patient before him tapped the bandage, Ryley’s attention focused on the injury. His eyebrows shot up in interest. “Seriously?!” He asked “kool.” He took his tricorder out and began scanning the area before he moved to unwind the bandage to take a look.

There was a sudden whine across every deck of the ship… it sounded like bulkheads literally crushing underneath their own weigh, but all of the pressure was coming from the outside. The ships gravity and other life support went to zero as the computer attempted to steal power from every other system to repower the shields and the internal force-fields.
The lights and other auxiliary systems dimmed to almost zero as the computer activated the red alert klaxons.
The whining ceased after a few moments as the lights and life-support returned.
