An explosion that would have been loud in the great outdoors reverberated uncomfortably, even in the cavernous marine barracks. A moment later a pair of marines looked into the open hole. The hummed appreciatively and then two ropes were dropped down. Marines two at a time disappeared into the hole landing on the deck below. =^=First squad, second platoon Dog company is on the deck and moving out.=^=

A minute later the team at the ceiling repeated the process upside down. It took longer for them to get through the hole but the end point was still the same. A squad was on the deck above and would be spreading out from there.

“Move, move, move.” Kate said as she motioned the 1st platoon up the ropes. They started to spread out just as planned.

“Colonel. Good hunting,” Kate said right before her turn to go up the ropes. It didn’t take long to haul herself up, and by the time she did the demo team was already getting the next round of ordinate in place. One deck down, 6 more to go.

“Let’s keep it up boys, and try to avoid the engineers for a bit after this. They are definitely going to hate us.”
