Sheriye was excited hearing that they were getting a whole brand new ship, not just patching up the old Chimera. She would have all brand new updated equipment! She had studied the specs for a Mjolner class ship and it sounded so exciting! Science and Medical had the entirety of Deck 4 to themselves though that included their quarters as well. But the space! This would be one of the largest ships she had ever served on. The sensing suite was top of the line and the computer system was huge! It spanned 5 entire decks! She almost ran through the corridors of the space station as she made her way to the new Chimera’s docking port.

She made her way through the docking ramp, entered the Chimera’s corridors and looked around at shineness of it all, her nose flared as she took in the new ship smells. Stepping out of the turbolift onto Deck 4 she weaved around the crew that were transporting crates and supplies to sickbay. Her half of the deck was near the aft end of the ship with quarters that separated Sickbay and Science in between.

With a scientists glee she entered the labs and began to access what she had been given charge over.

Captain Jones had heard that the Chief Science Officer had finally arrived from the station. The computer had indicated that she was in this lab, entering the lab “Lieutenant Sheriye?”

=^=Aye Captain!=^= She said with undisguised excitement.

Captain Jones smiled, the Officer appeared to be excited about the new ship, approaching Sheriye, “So how are you finding your new labs?”
