Davons office was too small to fit every security officer in for the meeting. So with the brig being empty at the moment he opened up the cells to create a little extra room. He paced around the centre console as the security teams filed in. It was a healthy mix or Starfleet and enlisted crewmen and women.

All being told it took fifteen minutes for the team to get settled. “Welcome ladies and gentlemen, My name is Lt.(jg) Davon Riloc I am the new Security Chief aboard the Chimera.” He moved in front of the console.

” You all know the standards expected by Starfleet, and I expect the same and more. I want you to be proud of the job you do. You are unsung heroes, while the marines and fighter pilots get the glory a lot of the time. We keep them safe, we keep the crew safe, we keep law and order aboard this ship. We are the enforcers of justice. So I expect each and everyone of you to be vigilant, brave and steadfast in your belief that justice must be served in the correct manner.”

There was a muttering of agreement through out the crowd. ” You’ll all be receiving you’re assignments before we ship out. Right now you have temporary assignments and teams. I want to have reports on my desk every day at the end of your shifts. Those who aren’t on shift enjoy the R and R.”

He placed his PaDD down, ” Welcome aboard, my office is always open. Dismissed.”
