The doors to Sickbay parted with their usual soft hiss as 2nd Lieutenant Stefan Burcham stepped inside. His boots struck the deck with measured confidence, uniform neatly pressed despite the clear signs of another long shift. A glint of dry amusement played behind his otherwise composed expression.

“Hello—” he called out, voice carrying through the quiet hum of the medical bay,
“—is there a doctor in the house? I’m here for my medical check-in eval,” he added, with just enough theatrics to earn a glance from the attending nurse.

He stood casually just inside the entrance, arms loosely folded behind his back, waiting for someone to acknowledge him—or possibly roll their eyes. Either worked.

Lt. Burcham came out of his office, where he was just talking to Col. Hammond. “Hello Lt. Burcham, I am also Lt. Burcham, Chief Medical Officer, if you could sit on the biobed over there, if you don’t mind.” Lt. Burcham addressed him, pointing to the closest empty biobed from his office.

“Yes doctor.” He said with a smile and a nod as he went to the biobed sitting on it.

Looking over the information on the biobed, Lt. Burcham asked, “Anything not listed in your file, we need to know about?”

“No sir.” He said. “Everything seems normal” he added.

“Well then, I’m not seeing anything on your readings either, so with that being said, Welcome aboard the Chimera, Marine. You are fully cleared for duty.”

“Thank you doctor.” He said as he was standing up from the biobed. “Uh doctor. I was told earlier about some medical training that I need to do.” He said.

OOC: sorry, last week was busy, finally got my car title, and got it sent to the insurance, so they could give me the loss payment, and then had to return the rental car and get a new car.
IC:
“General Hammond and I are working on that together, we will have to get back with you and your whole squad once we have everything together.” He stated. “Here soon, we will probably all meet in a holodeck and conduct the training, I’m just looking up and seeing what kind of scenarios we can load up for it.” He continued his thought.
