M’alek shifted a little in his seat marking his first targets and lighting up a few secondaries. He was calm and collected ready to get the job done. He triggered internal coms to gamma, ‘looking like we’ll take the left flank hold for orders’ he said

As security Chief she stood there at her station on the bridge but had noticed something unusual for security purposes. However, she doesn’t think it is an issue for some time until she realized that it is.

The wave of leeches surged toward the fighters with terrifying speed, their grotesque, single-eyed forms reflecting the dim light of space. The Chimera’s Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) was working overtime, phaser beams slicing through the void and picking off targets one by one. Despite the intense effort, 75 leeches remained out of the initial 150.

As the fighter squadron engaged the oncoming leeches, chaos erupted. The leeches’ eye beams proved devastatingly effective against the fighters’ shields. A single hit would deplete shields entirely, and a second hit would destroy the craft in a brilliant flare of light. Emergency protocols kicked in as pilots ejected, their survival suits automatically activating beacons to signal their positions.

Thankfully, the USS Tribute remained at a safe distance, providing vital support. With shields lowered at carefully calculated intervals, the Tribute’s transporters locked onto the pilots’ signals and beamed them aboard. The Tribute’s crew worked with precision and urgency, saving lives while the battle raged on around them.

OOC Yes the fighter squadron is now tangled up with the Leach Fighters now i shared a picture of what they roughly look like a few NE Fighters have taken some hits but you guys should get to fighting
