The briefing room in the Marine section of the Chimera was actually the offices of the Marine Headquarters Company. The various offices housed different sections within the company; each one specialized to support the Raider Battalion in specific ways. In the center of the offices was a large meeting room, glassed in and capable of seating forty in rows in front of a presentation screen; of twenty around a large conference table that was lowered into the deck when not in use.

The table was currently up and seated at the head was the large reptilian form of the Raider’s Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Drangon Cull. His dark eyes were fixed on a PaDD as he reviewed the operation reports from the various sections. He had extended an invitation to the Marine Aviators form the Black Sheep Squadron and to the ship’s Security section. All had been present and participatory in the evacuation of the now-destroyed cruise liner; and he thought a full perspective of how the operation was handled would be prudent.

Siraa was always one to promote working with those around her, as long as they weren’t idiots. The Raiders, and especially Col Cull were far from that. They had lived up to their impressive reputation. A task that Siraa knew was both easy and difficult, being a Black Sheep after all.

When the invitation came she accepted and told Lardel she would be attending. She wasn’t sure if anyone else would be, but most likely Jack would, or send her report over if she couldn’t. The Andorian pilot entered the conference room exactly 10 minutes before the meeting was supposed to start. IRIS was always early. Being on time meant she was late. She was in her fatigues today rather than her flight suit, and her hair was down. Her antenna curled forward curiously as she entered and moved toward a seat a few chairs down from where Cull was. She did not sit, rather she stood crispy waiting for Cull. It was a formality out if respect for the Raider Colonel that wasn’t always observed with Lardel. Then again she had been with Lardel for a few years now, and she knew when the lines were relaxed and when they were not.

Esp entered a moment after. Her sharp avian eyes swept the room while the rest of her was still. She did a very sudden about face and left the room without a word. She stalked into one of the other rooms and returned carrying a stool. Chairs with no arms were uncomfortable, but manageable. The chairs at the conference table all had arms. It was either go get a stool she could sit on or stand for the whole meeting. Of course, she could just hover in the air above everyone. She smirked at the thought, but it was hard for those who didn’t know her to recognize that.

She slid a chair to the corner and set the stool down to Cull’s right. “Colonel,” she trilled a greeting and then looking at sh’Rharror she nodded, “Captain.”

Maj. Manika-Esp, 2IC, Marine Battalion

“Major.” Cull said flatly. His new XO was still an unknown factor, but so far he wasn’t unhappy with them.

Manika nodded to Cull before slipping into her chair. So far she liked Cull from a professional perspective. So far he seemed to live up to his reputation. Time would tell if he was always that way. She turned to look at the door as a new officer entered. His patches said he was a Black Sheep. She didn’t recognize him. A new addition then? She didn’t know all the sheep by name, but she recognized most of them from the last mission. She nodded once to the Catian male.

M’alek walked into the room and took an open seat he stretched a little and then folded his arms on the table in front of him this was his first debrief so it would be interesting to see how it was handled on this ship.

The Xendi-Reptile eyes of the Marine Battalion CO flicked to the new arrival and the lids narrowed slightly. “I was unaware that Marine Corps regulations had changed in the past twenty seconds, Captain.” he said; his voice a low roll of boulders in a landslide. “Or do a Lieutenant Colonel and a Major no longer warrant a salute and an introduction? But please… do make yourself comfortable.”

Cull, Marine CO

Esp’s beak along with her whole head twisted 110 degrees. Her version of facial disbelief.

IRIS looked pointedly at M’alek for him to stand up and do as instructed. This wasn’t their battalion and the invitation was a courtesy. Cull was in charge here.

OOC: Sorry all been super busy,

IC:
M’alek shook out of his head, some how he had drifted off in his mind back to his last engagement the though of his wingman’s plane splitting in two as it was struck by a Torpedo. His eyes were sad and locked off in the distance as if he was seeing something that was not there. Cull’s voice cut through the reverie like a sharp knife, He snapped up to attention saluted the two men, “My Apologies Sir’s, I was ” he paused “Elsewhere” his tail operating completely on its own was now smacking the side of the chair frantically

“Colonel Cull, Major Esp, this is Captain M’alek. He has just arrived and is taking over Gamma Squadron with the Black Sheep,” Siraa made the introductions from behind her chair where she stood.

Cull kept his reptilian eyes locked on M’alek for a long, very uncomfortable moment before saying “At ease and take a seat, Captains. Happy to have the Black Sheep with us.” He finally took his eyes off of Shifty and looked at the group as a whole. “Let’s get started. Captain sh’Rharror, please give us all a macro view of the Black Sheep operations during the evac of the Princess and flight deck operations.”

Manika nodded to the two captains as she settled on her stool and turned her piercing beedy gaze on sh’Rharror.

Siraa took her seat. “Thank you, Colonel.” She tapped her PaDD her antenna waving gently back and forth. On the main screen a layout of the flight deck and the area around the empress and Chimera. “Before arrival we already had evacuation stations set up on the flight deck to the port and starboard sides of the flight deck. Emergency triage stations were set up within the squadron briefing rooms. Immediately upon arrival, Beta Squadron was launched to set up a perimeter and escort non essential craft out of the area. Alpha and Gamma squadrons launched next. The original orders were to handle any problems that might occur. That changed when Colonel Lardel received word that the Knight was trying to physically stop the Empress from falling farther into the gravity well. Alpha and Gamma and Delta birds were redirected to the Knight and attach maglocks to add their thrust to the Knight’s failing attempts.”

As she spoke the image on the screens adjusted to show overviews of the activities. “Beta’s SAR shuttles left first for evacuation to transport anyone in critical need. Then Delta’s troop transports launched. We set up an evacuation line at each of the docking ports on the Empress.” The ports lite up in red on the display. “It was going normally until the gravity well ripped the Empress in half and the Knight and the rest of the Black Sheep had to disengage.”

Mar. Capt. sh’Rharror, Delta SQLD

Cull looked at M’alek and said “Captain. I know you arrived soon after the operation. How does this look to one not involved in the operation itself? Anything you see as an area of opportunity for improvement?”

Cull, CO - Marine Raider Battalion

M’alek looked over the Cull he certainly, “Based on the general report, the op was flow well Sir” he said not wanting to judge to directly, after all things moved quickly in the cockpit, it was easy to sit outside and judge it was a different when the heat was on. “It would seem to me as the reader that, the empresses decent should have been caught and comunicated sooner.” he said “But as you say Sir, I am on the outside looking in.” he noted. “Given the stakes and the results I don’t know that we could have gotten a better outcome Sir” he said finishing.
