Marine country was armed to the teeth, every marine stood at ready and was armed like a tank. Squads had been deployed to the hanger bay, meeting up with Cpt sh’Rharror’s aviators to board the transport shuttles for a rapid deployment. Everything was moving with the smooth efficiency of well trained elite marines. Along with the special atmosphere that only the Raiders could bring to such and operation. Manika watched it all, hovering in the air midway of the large hanger bay. They felt the ship drop out of the wormhole and the atmosphere changed from one of relaxed waiting to alertness in an instant.

Manika’s ears picked up the sound of maglocks releasing and knew that the Black Sheep had released from the hull and would be beginning patrolling the area. The Raiders were in small groups, sitting about, out of the way, on crates of gear. Some were writing letters home, some were playing games of chance, a few looked like they were catching a nap while they could. There had been very little in the way of briefing, but then they really had no idea what to expect. Better to not have expectations.
