The couple of months since Gallahan’s joining the Chimera had been busy. He’d been meaning to call in to see the Counselor - like he said he would - for a little while now but he’d been putting it off. He felt like he’d gained some personal momentum on the ship. It felt good. But he was worried about loosing this momentum, so he’d carried on and made the most of it. But, things had calmed down and the timing felt right. So he found himself outside the Counselor’s Office door. He pressed the chime and waited politely to called in.

Keitah paused her data entry, as chime on her door rang.“Come in,” she called in a friendly sing-song voice.
The door slid open to reveal Ensign Scott Gallahan. Her eyes lit up with surprise and happiness as she said, “Ensign Gallahan,” rising from her chair and gesturing toward the armchairs positioned by the large viewport. “Please, come in. Have a seat.”

“Thank you” He smiled as he walked in. “I hope my calling by isn’t interrupting anything?”

Keitah shook her head, her smile widening. “Not at all, Ensign. I was just finishing up some reports. It’s nice to have a break.” She motioned to the armchair nearest to him and took a seat opposite, the large viewport framing the stars behind her.
“How can I help you today?” Keitah asked gently.

Gallahan nodded by way of thanks and took a seat. “Well, it’s been a little while since I came to see you last, so I just thought I’d swing by and just check in, I guess.” He smiled.

“I appreciate you stopping by, Scott,” Keitah said, using his first name to dismiss the air of formality. “It’s always good to check in. Please sit. How have you been feeling lately? What you been up to?”

Scott got comfortable in his seat. “Well… not all that much to be honest. Just my duties, and a couple clubs and groups.” He recalled. “But I’m feeling pretty settled just lately, and it’s a lovely, refreshing feeling.” He smiled a little as he spoke.
