Getting out of the turbolift, Alexander walked in the corridor leading to the Counselor’s Office for his mandatory meeting. It was his second, as he was re-affected for obscure administrative reasons. Hopefully, he didn’t mind the change, for the USS Chimera was assigned to a marine crew. It was the promise of some change to him, and to see another side of Starfleet, a more militarious one.

It sure is a nice change from my previous Miranda class, thought Alexander, his golden pupils glancing back and forth on the walls. The corridors were more luminous and smooth-edged than on his previous assignment, which was not hard to do. The Miranda class was a model that began to age poorly, and if it held a special place in his heart, the Lieutenant had to admit the superiority of the Mjolnir Class.

I can’t wait to see their Warp core, he smiled. A recent model, for a change ! Back on the USS Trial, the Warp Core was so unstable that they had to make a maintenance routine every year, and it was still programmed with the old Warpspeed chart. Glad to change, in the end. That’s the one thing I won’t miss from this ship.
His thoughts were quickly interrupted by a shiny plaque on the wall, indicating the Counselor’s office. Tucking his shirt and smoothing the edges, he pressed on the chime and waited

Keitah looked up from her desk as the chime sounded. She turned the PaDD she’d been working on face down, and said, “Please come in,”
She drummed her fingers on her desk while waiting for her visitor to enter her office.

Entering the office, Alexander straightened his posture a bit, enough to make it formal. Seeing Naisyr, he stopped and presented himself : “Lieutenant Carpentier. A pleasure to meet you, Counselor.”

Keitah greeted him with a smile, gesturing for him to take a seat in front of her desk. “The pleasure is mine, Lieutenant Carpentier,” she replied.

Keitah observed him, noting his composed demeanor and the subtle signs of formality in his posture. “How can I assist you today, Lieutenant? Is there something on your mind?” she inquired, her tone inviting and open.
