As Ensign Reese had just gotten orders from Starfleet command, he was ordered to rendezvous with the USS Chimera. However, starfleet had to send him out on a roundabout. By the time the roundabout arrived to the USS Chimera, he had then went to engineering and saw his department head. Which is who the chief engineer if the ship. Hadn’t he noticed that his department head was busy or not he had then decided to ring his department heads door chime and await his department head to say come in or something along those lines like almost everyone says. However, young Ensign Reese has all knowledge of all types of engineering from mechanics to so much more. His service record from Starfleet has given the chance for the Chief Engineer to know how capable Mr. Reese was. Logan was a little nervous since this is his very first assignment that he has ever been on. He thought that having his first ever assignment would be a department head himself. But however, he must need all the training on board a vessel before even doing anything such a thing. He knew that it had been best for him to start off as an ensign first before having to be a department head. He then stood there waiting patiently to enter the office of the Chief Engineer.

Hearing the chime of his office, Alexander lifted his eyes off his terminal. Checking the time he realized it was already time for his meeting with the new ensign. How time flew by, he thought in surprise. He was busy adapting to his new post and was working on an optimization algorithm for the warp core right before the chime rang.

Saving and closing his programming tab, he said looking at the door : “Enter !”
